What type of player is he? Presumably not a forward as Kingston already have their fair quota of those.

Teddy will be the best FB, CHB, CHF, FF in the league. Very versatile and unbeatable one on one.

If Cooper is playing alongside him and they're both in the forward line it will no doubt be a handy attack they'll have then.

Just putting an open invite on hear for an event happening at Marion Football Club tonight for all age juniour players.
Hawthorn Football Club are running a coaching clinic tonight starting from 6pm. 3 current players will be coming over and getting involved as well as autographs after the clinic. Should be a great night, mini's through to under 18's. Free to do the clinic. BBQ and refreshments will be available to purchase on the night.
So if you have any young fella's keen to rub shoulders with some AFL players feel free to bring them down tonight.
Don't have to be Hawthorn supporters, BUT obviously a Hwathorn young fan would no doubt be excited.
So come on down and enjoy a great night at Marion Football Club again starts at 6pm
Look forward to seeing plenty of numbers out!

Was there and reasoning given as to why he should be more than a base points player? As I understood it a player returning to his junior club should be only a 1 point player under the current points system

Players who return to a club they played juniors with were a base point player regardless.
This ruling is for guys who played at clubs other than where their father is a Life Member.
Best example I can think of would be Jack Deganhardt. Jack played all his junior footy at Brighton, but his Dad is a Life Member at Flaggies. Jack would not have been a base point player previously but would be now (Is only hypothetical as he hasn't signed up with us) .

remember clubs only invite life members in each year and normally only one a year and they have to meet criteria. cant see this being as big a problem as you think

Yeah MatteeG certainly was involved out there. It was a fantastic night, kids did have an absolute ball that is for sure. Senior players had good fun also. Look forward to doing it again next year and making it bigger again. Well done to Hawthorn, players were top lads & were more than willing to have a chat. Again excellent night, thanks to Hawthorn Footy club & Marion Sports Club for putting on a great night. Kids all got autographed 2010 Hawthorn posters which went down a treat. Just hope the two smart young lads wearing St Kilda jumpers do not get converted. Bloody fantastic night it was for sure & well done again to all involved!

Funny ruling was noticed at the SFL Clearances Meeting tonight:
A player transferring to the club his father is a Life Member of, is counted as a base point player.

What is with this rule?
Example J Selfe has come back on board after playing away for 5 years but played all his junior footy at the Shoe and senior b4 moving away and am told is a point player. His farther is a life member also and am sure all farthers that achive life membership would have their son playing junior footy for the club? So is this a double dip or am I missing something?

CLASSIC calling BIG nick a FART HER would love to see his face :axe: :weedman: its father shoeboy lol

Interesting to see P.Munce has gone back to Reynella (from townies).
apparently knocked back some other clubs because "the prospect of a premiership was too close at Reynella" ...........
