apparently knocked back some other clubs because "the prospect of a premiership was too close at Reynella" ...........

Funny ruling was noticed at the SFL Clearances Meeting tonight:
A player transferring to the club his father is a Life Member of, is counted as a base point player.

What is with this rule?
Example J Selfe has come back on board after playing away for 5 years but played all his junior footy at the Shoe and senior b4 moving away and am told is a point player. His farther is a life member also and am sure all farthers that achive life membership would have their son playing junior footy for the club? So is this a double dip or am I missing something?

CLASSIC calling BIG nick a FART HER would love to see his face :axe: :weedman: its father shoeboy lol

No Nick is a farther!!!!! and look forward to catching up with him!

If you head to the SFL page ( http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=1-6133-0-0-0 then click the "Club Websites" tab and select each individual club page. Each has a clearances link...

Seems a bit strange given the success marion are about to embark on. Do they have mates at willunga? Perhaps all the fantastic stuff is being reported from the rams, but conveniently the not so flash stuff being swept under the carpet. I predict the rams to be very similar in 2010.

people can make judgement if they like nothing wrong about that the truth is rob lost his licence so he will play local to his home and miegels left with bro both have still been around at partys and things just time to move on and play elsewhere remember lost three gained 12 not a bad turn in for 2010 i recon. All three top blokes will do well down their hard guys to replace but having seen some of the new blood should still inprove on last year and thats all we need to do keep moving in a forward direction. i can tell you that marion will be more competitive this year.

Let's weigh it up...Marion may be a little bit more competitive this season, will they play in a Grand Final...doubtful
Willunga have won the last 6 Premierships and haven't really lost anyone, will they play in a Grand Final...very likely they will win 7!
If they are after success then I guess they chose the right club if they were looking for a change!!!

Trying to justify their actions or yours P32? Just my opinion, and I'm sure the bulk of Willunga and Morphett Vale players will agree, that the hard work to earn the premiership would be more rewarding than breezing into a club to win one.

How's these Morphett Vale blokes, they've won one in a row and they're putting themselves in the same league as Willunga.

If P32 or any of the blokes new to Willunga do the work this season to earn a spot in a premiership team they deserve it as much as anyone else in the team no matter how long they've been there. Given that its not easy for new blokes to establish themselves at a new club, if they are able to contribute to the success of the side they should feel an extra sense of satisfaction.

Not saying they don't deserve it GA, far from it. I am just saying that IMO it would be more rewarding for me to have been through the hard times as I feel it would make you appreciate the great times even more.

Anyone that wins a premiership deserves it!

I guess we will be able to see just how compareable they both are in 6-7 weeks. ;)

Everyone deserves the premiership they play in but surely the blokes that were there during the tough times would feel a little more satisfaction winning a premiership with their club rather than jumping on success and winning one that way.
Still premierships are premiership tho and anyone with one (and most without one) understand how special they are and that they dont come easy. making everyone apart of it VERY deserving of the medals and memories that go along with them.
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.
