Unfortunately the old dinosaur needs a reco. In usual fashion, he has got his chin up and will be right behind the boys for the rest of the season.

Record Elim score 25-19. Record for any A-Grade Final 30-12
Reckon if the Emus find themselves in one of them this year both of those might go.
No need for panic just yet though --- missing the Four means four sides finish on top of you. So far the damage is just three games.

BTP, firstly I still think M/Vale are a huge chance for the top 4, it's only Round 7 after all!

Secondly, looking at the ladder, you have Cove, M/Vale, Reynella, Brighton, Edwardstown, Happy Valley and Noarlunga in the top 7, apart from Noarlunga's loss to Flaggy on the weekend they look like they will demolish all of the average teams and make the top 8 (thanks mainly to their game plan of kick it to Golding).

So would you agree that 7 teams would 'almost' be locked in going on results so far?

If that is the case there is one spot up for grabs and going on results Port Noarlunga (although they have started slowly are always good come September and proved it on the weekend against Valleys) and Flagstaff Hill (knocked off Noarlunga, and lost to Townies and Cove by 2 goals), would have to be the current favorites to take up the other finals spot.

Do you honestly think M/Vale will kick 30 goals against a side that has came within two kicks of Townies and Cove, or Port Noarlunga who have beaten valleys (Who beat the emus)! And yes i know M/Vale had players out, but so does every side, and so will sides come September.

I think it's time you accepted that the top 8 (not the whole competition) is getting tighter and that M/Vale are not as invincible as they were in the past (I'm still backing them to be a force in September, but not in the way you describe).

Think you're taking things too seriously mate ---- just quoting possibilities.
Morphett Vale in September are awesome. Some recent Qualifying Final and Prelim Final smashings of sides like Brighton attest to that. It's no reflection on whether Flagstaff of even the Lions will be worthy finalists or not.

Hey BTP, whats the record between the Emus and Bombers in A grade finals.

I have a feeling its 4 or 5 zip to the Emu's and at least 2 of those losses were nasty margins.

And the winners!

Aldinga V Brighton Back to reality

Hackham V Reynella Ouch

H/Valley V Townies I will stick with Valleys in the game of the round.

Marion V Flaggies A side to keep your eye on.

M/Vale V Lonsdale Emus to bounce back.

Noarlunga V C/Beach Shoes on our own deck to get back that winning feeling.

Pt Noarlunga V Cove Great result by Porties last weeek but Cove too strong.

On the Porties Valleys game I am sure all where surprised on the result and would love to hear feedback on what happend!! The Porties line up looked to be the same on paper as previous rounds.

What would the thought process be behind the Hackham coach being at Reynella's training last night? Surely he's better off being at his own training continuing to work with his young side rather than try and gather information on the opposing team? It's not like it's going to be a nail biter!

Aldinga V Brighton ugh

Hackham V Reynella ditto

H/Valley V Townies - Valleys by a country mile.

Marion V Flaggies - Flaggies by 20+ goals

M/Vale V Lonsdale - Morphett Vale by 5 goals. In past years they've often had inexplicable trouble posting big scores against the Lions.

Noarlunga V C/Beach - Shoes by plenty

Pt Noarlunga V Cove - I reckon they could pull off another upset
