my agruement was that he believes he dosnt degrade people, that it shouldnt be confused with honesty.

so by him calling the 42 Hackham and Aldinga players, either mentally or physically retarded (which i believe is what you need to be toi qualify for the special Olympics), this isn't degrading? and is 100% fine because he calls it being "honest"?

geez, you wouldn't happen to have/had any ties with NFC or shoeboy that may have you wearing a slight shade of rose colored glasses?

yes, i'm all for being honest, which shoeboy is. that's fine by me, and should be fine by everyone.
but for him (and you) to try say his "honesty" makes it fine to call a couple teams of footy players retarded and it isn't degrading?

Teams/Clubs are put down all the time mate, its a fact of a football forum. I'm not sure how to get it across to you but WE DONT ACCEPT PERSONAL ABUSE OF A FELLOW POSTER ON THIS SITE.

Geezus, the special olympics of football would be an improvement on most SANFL games I've seen this year!

Considering me and TBB both play for the teams called retarded, and both think it was directed at us...thats PERSONAL isnt it?...

If one of them is a poster on here (eg David Smith) and he says "David Smith, you are a retard", then it isn't acceptable.
What I would suggest is we leave this thread for footy and if people want more questions about how the site operates ask in the Feedback/Guidelines forum, only too happy to clarrify things further. :)

Was down at the Aldinga pub having a beer with Jaquesy last night.
Lo and behold in walks David Smith who plays footy.

He is not happy you called him a retatrd on the site.

With the ongoing absence of any Happy Valley input into this forum I'll promote Friday Nights game.

Friday 28 May - Happy Valley vs Brighton at Happy Valley - Game Time 7.45pm

No official curtain raiser othen than Happy Valley Mini's having some sort of scratch match beforehand. Don't worry about any rain. When we played them last year under lights it poured between 6pm and 7pm but by the time the A grade started the ground had drained so well that playing conditions were quite good and there were still 25 goals kicked for the game.

Yeah One Eyed, Lynchy has played some real good footy in the last couple of weeks since returning.
Think a bit of time off to get his head right has done him well and he is actually really enjoying his footy again which is great and obviously you play better when you are enjoying what you are doing.
Hopefully he can continue this form for the rest of the year. Is good to have him back.

ok...so as i understand it, this is acceptable...

everyone that plays football at noarlunga are a bunch of ****** **** *** ******* *****

obviously dont think that, because i know a few and work with one, and a former player...but as i didnt name an individual its fine....

im done

This reminds me of an old story a basketball coach of mine told me. He said to an umpire "if I called you gay would I get a tech foul", the umpire said "yes". "What if I just thought it then" the coach asked. The ref said "no"..he then said to the umpire..."well I think your gay then".
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!
