I feel sorry for the Under 18 and Under 15 players that will not have the opportunity to play. This is the opportunity for them to play in front of SANFL and AFL scouts so this could harm their chances of playing at a higher level.

Perhaps the SFL should have signed a contract with the Hills League.

I think if the under 18's & under 15's want to play in front of SANFL & AFL scouts their best bet would be to play under 18's at a league club. There they would get the development required to help improve their skills & have league clubs pushing them up if they are good effort. I agree it is an opportunity missed to play a strong combined under aged game, but i don't think it would hurt their chances of playing at a higher level...

The SFL had in place an arrangement to play the HFL but at the last minute the HFL reneged.

Agree a big dissapointment for the juniour lads that have always embraced association footy.

Aldinga V Marion Marion by plenty

Brighton V Hackham OUCH but must stop HH3 with a good tag!

Cove V Reynella On their deck in a close one

M/Park V M/Vale The form of the 2 lads Greenbank and Bode that played no footy in 09 has been outstanding.

Noarlunga V Townies Big game and at the Shoe should see us bounce back.

Lonsdale V H/Valley Valley to get back on the winners page

C/Beach V Porties Norms boys to keep up that solid form.

P32/T Express/RFC2010 What is the status of young Selps??? As a friend of the family and a family that has been Reynella through and through I feel the treatment to be poorly handled.

Your thoughts????

I'll field this one.

Apparently he was in charge of the away changerooms redevelopment and they won't release him till he fixes it.

Geez you are a right dickhead aren't you Shoeboy! Real close friend of the family you are, his surname is Semple so his nickname is Semps to start with. You for one have absolutely no idea whatsoever as to what has gone on with this matter, so let's hear why you think it's been "poorly handled"???
Thirdly let me just quote a bloke who thinks he knows it all...

shoe boy wrote:Just interested on clubs/players/admin thoughts on player clearances?

If you had a player that for whatever reason did not want to be at your club(you would??)

From our point of view we always go through an exit interview process and after exhausting this a clearance would be granted(why have someone that doesnt want to be there)

The only area we play hard ball is with our kids that have come from the junior programme and have come into senior footy as most of these lads have played since school footy and a clearance would be very difficult and a lot of dialogue would take place b4 anyone would be cleared.

So just maybe our committee are taking a leaf out of your book!!!

I thought an inoccent question regarding someone I and family have known for life.My question was directed at fellow posters from Reynella and their opinion.

I and P32 have discussed the issue through PM amicabley and as far as im concerned matter closed.

While on P32 I have noticed he to be touchy of late and maybe due to lack of game time due to the loose as a goose number 70? I predict in coming weeks you will get more game time? ;)

Don't know enough about it to comment, SB. I can definitely say that Semps is a quality lad who should play well over 100 A grade games for the Flies.

BTW, how close are you to the family if you're calling him Selps?

I responded to your initial message without reading the subsequent replies from P32 and others. Didn't mean to kick a SB when he was down. I now see you've already put up your hand for the Selps reference.

Nah not touchy at all, just don't like people making comments on issues they may not know 100% of the information on. Especially when I know you are still upset about the changerooms! ;)
That was my first game back on Saturday against the Shoes so it's understandable to not play the whole game. Thought though that myself and T Bear worked pretty well together.
