PORTIES v Shoes: Porties making a claim for 5th
FLAGGIES v Lions
EMUS v Saints
FLIES v Parks
BOMBERS v Rams
VIKINGS v Sharks
COBRAS v Hawks

Unfortunately it looks like the 8 is set just going to be juggled. Looks a bit hard for Flaggies a couple of games and large percentage out, even allowing for a bye two from teams above. Christies draw looks a bit hard but again points and percentage will get them.

Hey DTH I hear that the Bombers had a quote this week from engraver for an expected 6 trophies?

Don't think it is quite settled yet, Vic. Both the Shoes and the Valley have a bit of work to do yet before they are safe.
After the Sharks today the Valley have three games that are "should wins" but each are losable (Flagstaff, Noarlunga and Port), while their other two are against Brighton and Reynella.
If the Shoes don't win today there only other game against a side below them is Flagstaff, who beat them a few weeks ago.
Even the Lions could end up in the mix. Thought I'd check if they had any chance if they won today, and nearly fell off my chair --- their last four are the four sides they have already beaten this year --- win them all again and they are on eight wins (nine if they beat Flaggies) The Shoes are currently on seven

I know what your trying to do Vics and I'm not taking the bait. I would have thought Cove still have a genuine chance in all senior grades and 2 or 3 of the junior grades

All any club can strive for is getting as many teams as possible in finals then the rest is in the lap of the gods. If you include the Sunday grades we've won 10 of the last 16 shields up for grabs but at the end of the day its the Vigneron Shield we all covet the most. And you guys have had it more recently than us.

Back for finals if not the last round so no problems there, so will be playing on further than the $hoe$. Serious question, when you look at this years player/coach payments compared to last years and see where you are situated on the ladder does it make you feel sick?

Hey vics if we beat lonsdale this week and valley next and shoes lose to porties this week and bombers week after it will be a showdown for the top 8 spot flaggies vs shoes the week after.

The shoe must win 2 more games to play finals! Lonsdale must win 4/5 to play finals. My money is going on lonsdale. If they beat flaggies this week they WILL kick the shoe out the 8.

Cracker game this week for the shoe, porties on the up and we beat them round 1 by 8 or so. Both teams have had some handy ins and outs. Dougie clinch may get his first game in the A grade for porties and Gary karp will be the one to look out for (crumbing abilities would be close to the best in the SFL). And of course 'rish' my money is on him to kick a bag and probably bring them home!

Tips
Cove V Hackham - will hit the 50 goal score
Flaggies V Lonsdale - absolute must win for Falcons on their deck, 5 goals
H/Valley V Aldinga - will score at least 30 goals
Marion V Brighton - Marion an utter joke, brighton top class, 15 goal margin minimum
M/Vale V C/Beach - Mark my words MV will put 35+ goals on the board!
Noarlunga V Pt. Noarlunga - Porties in a close one, ppl chatting about shoes possibly not winning another game for the year, what about the chance of porties not losing another game for the year? Massive turn around from the start of the year (big losses, possible coach walk out, A grade players leaving) and pre season (best player left, plus other good players, not good numbers), full credit to the coaches and staff, still under the radar, but should be getting spoken about a lot more!
Reynella V M/Park - Many classes above, 10-15 goals

Lonsdale have flaggies, cove, morph parks I don't think they will get any of them but then have Marion aldinga and hackham so they will have same wins as the shoes in the end but not the percentage.

They've beaten the Parks this season. It's a definite possible win for them.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Twomey wouldn't see the year out due to joining the air force. Was it confirmed by the silence of dth? Notice he is not in the boot today.

He tried coming back but apparently the eagles want the 10 grand they paid for him from somebody????

Predicting roos worse loss for the year today with 7 outs this week. Have had a resonable run with injuries up until now but cant cover that many.
