Cracker game this week for the shoe, porties on the up and we beat them round 1 by 8 or so. Both teams have had some handy ins and outs. Dougie clinch may get his first game in the A grade for porties and Gary karp will be the one to look out for (crumbing abilities would be close to the best in the SFL). And of course 'rish' my money is on him to kick a bag and probably bring them home!

Surely you are taking the p1ss, Hills. Aren't you a Shoes player (albeit with strong ties to Lonsdale)

i am calling it as I see it. Shoes played good today, strong speech given before the game and at 3 quater time. Mitts is hitting his straps at the good end of the season!

The question remains, can the shoe beat flaggies at home? And will sullies/lonsdale win those winnable games?

Looking at the remaining seasons draw for Porties, Flagstaff, Noarlunga, Valleys and Flaggies. If the later can win one of their games against either Porties, Noarlunga or Valleys, They are a good shot to make the finals.

The other two games are against Hackham and Aldinga.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Went to the game yesterday - was very impressed by Valley in the last quarter. They're a well-drilled side, similar to Brighton in that respect. And quick!! I thought there were two rangas out there but it was actually just one really fast one. ;)

Still, if you took away the scores from the second and last quarters, the game would have looked a lot closer. In the third quarter Aldinga kept Valley to just four goals and kicked two of their own. If they can play like that for even half a game I reckon they're a huge chance against everyone they've got left - Twisties, Hackham, Flaggies, Lonsdale, Porties.

I think Reynella has lost its mojo, looking how they did not respect M/V Park yesterday,The bloke that limped off with the ballooned calf will be a big loss, the lack of team workwas quite evident in how Procter got starved, and the high behind count.

Dont worry Joseph, Proccy will never starve! He will steal a sausage roll off a kid in the goalsquare if he needs. And if the results say he ate 7 sausage rolls, thats still a decent day at the tuck shop.

Cheers TBB. Mitts coached well yesterday, he spoke well to the team before and during the game. They were the components of his coaching i disagreed with. Although, porties and the shoe didnt put one another away. They couldnt get the ball out of the southern end (the end the wind was travelling too) so against a quality opposition there is still some work to do by both teams!

Was good to see the shoe get up in a game when their backs were against the wall.

marion have had the Bilney brothers, and the assistant coach walk out on the club in the last two weeks.
(to go with all the others this year)
Apparently a player failed to show up for A grade game after training &being named Thursday.
Some rumours are gathering momentum that a core group of the last loyal players will be moving on next year.

I'm calling it now that Marion won't field two sides next year.

Surely the people running the club have to be made accountable for the demise of the mfc. You cant have 10 years of bad luck!! A coach can only do so much. With the amount of long term players leaving the club over the years as well as not being able to keep gun recruit paid players the culture must be the main concern. From winning a flag in 2000 to where the club is now it is an absolute disgrace!! Who does the buck stop with????

Well done to all involved in making Sat a fantastic day at the Shoe.

NOBS Day (NOARLUNGA OLD BOYS) was a special day with many travelling from a far to be there and enjoy the day especially being a day we played one of our nieghbours in Porties, and too see the club packed at the lunch was terrific with some old storys being banted around. The day showed that local footy is alive and well with one of largest crowds seen for a long time and to top it off with a fantastic game.

On field 5 zip and to get some repect back in our senior side just topped the day off well done all and may there be more days like that.
