Looks like 2 divisions in the SFL could come sooner that expected.

I don't know but I can't imagine a Hills Central (Div 1) team wanting to leave their competition, only the one that will be relegated at the end of the season, which is most likely Lobethal or Birdwood. Lobethal apparently are considering going to the Barossa Light League, why would either of those two want to travel south anyway.Torrens Valley are to be promoted from Country league. Country (Div 2) Hills is a bit lopsided like the SFL so maybe the teams could be the top ones from there, time will tell I guess.

I think your right in that central hills comp looks pretty strong in its own right, maybe kangy looking to come back from country div??

Kangys are copping hidings where they are, its unlikely theyd come back for more SFL beatings

Birdwood and Lobethal one of which is likely to be relegated would definately not come to the SFL. From what I'm told 2 clubs from Central Hills Division are not happy with the possibility of an 11 team competition and are talking with the SFL. I am also told 2 clubs from the Country Div who are also not happy are looking at the SFL as an option. These clubs aren't too far away and yes I'd suggest one of them is Kangy's. 2 divisions in the SFL is a very real possibility.

I would suggest that if Torrens Valley go up and Lobethal go to Barossa league then Maccy, Meadows and Kangy may be interested in coming into a 2 division SFL league

Reynella v Christies Beach game Saturday has been moved to Bice Oval due to the unsatisfactory facilities at Reynella ;)

...well mainly due to flooding

Christies have got some big boys, so maybe its because their team won't fit in the away changerooms.

So it could be:

Div 1

Reynella
Morphett Vale
Brighton
Happy Valley
Cove
Noarlunga
Pt Noarlunga
Edwardstown
Flagstaff Hill

Div 2

Marion
Christies Beach
Morphettville Park
OSB/Lonsdale
Hackham
Aldinga
Kangarilla
Meadows
Maccesfield

I wouldn't expect the three HFL teams to go to div 1, would need to work up.
Then it should be A grade top 2 go up in Div 2, bottom 2 come down.
Two 9 team comps, finals structured like SANFL.

I would include Christies in Div 1 making two divisions without byes.

Joseph, thats a harsh thing to say b4, having known this guy for a while i think the club would be at a loss if he left. He has done exactly what he has been asked to do this year, and the amount he and his wife have done over the last few years has been enormous. Some people may not like him because he has an opinion and is not afraid to tell people, but at the end of the day the kids are the future and seeing it personally they love being coached by him. By the way i have a memory like a fish, but ill see you thursday!

A meeting on 2nd August to decide if an 11 team comp or not, seems most likely it will be. Their plan is to have two byes for each club, but have matches on June long weekend also country championship weekend. If it had been Ironbank to be relagated none of this would be happening, because Owen Lamshed, President of HFL does not like them. I believe none of the clubs are happy with the prospect of 11 teams, so I am not sure who is voting at this meeting on the 2nd Aug.

Good morning colleagues. Although an avid reader of this forum I am a new contributor. In opening my account I note that the forum is really a collection of opinions. There are two things you should know about opinions;
1) Just because you have one, doesn't make it correct.
2) You don't need any knowledge to have an opinion.
Nevertheless, we are all entitled to them!!

Games this w/e and likely winners

FH v HV. Flaggies by 10 points in the mud.
Rey v CB. Wineflies by 15 goals.
Ald v MP. Sharks by 2 pts.
Etown v Rams. Town by 15 goals
BDOS v Noar. Bombers by 8 goals.
Lions v Cove. Cobras by 25 goals.
Hawks v Pt N. Hawks down by 30 goals.

Sorry Fisho, would love to tip you blokes but from what I saw Saturday the Parks have a few quality players playing for them and even though they have a few injuries I still think they will get over you boys...just.
