No, Mawson Bears mainly yellow. Meadows mainly green. Same socks though. Mawson did use to have the vertical stripes at some stage though, don't know if they played Meadows back then.[/quote]
No, always had the predominantly yellow with the green "V" (Melbourne style) while Meadows were with us.

Flipping bollocks. :( That's all I have to say about today. That's all right. Looking forward to Aldinga turning it around next week against the Hawks - they'll... (wait for it) ...hackham up! \:D/

I think you'll find that switching leagues is not that easy especially with the SA Communism Football Board. They are the only ones who can sanction a move between competitions.

With the way this mob are going I would not put then in charge of a Pi$$ up in a brewery.

They lost their battle with the SAAFL and also the NEMJFA over new junior rules & regs.

Might be nice for the SFL to have two divisions because lets face it the league is a bit of a joke when it comes to results and the scores.

Might be time for the Hills and SFL to look at joining forces as the SFL is always referred to as a Country league not Metro.

Big game next week between the shoes and flaggies. You could almost say that the winner would be the one that finishes in the 8 at the end of the minor round. But if flaggies drop the game it would have them having to win the last 3 matches. You would say 2 of them would be wins (aldinga and hackam) but the 1st is porties at porties. On the other hand you could say that the shoes drop this 1 its season over. With a bye and games against valley and reynella in the last 3 rounds it would be a tough ask. So if you dont have any plans next saturday head down to the shoes to watch a cracker of a game that could make or break a season. I know I will be looking at the option.

Comments like that show a lack of understanding of the problems in the SFL. That is why the SFL is becoming a laughing stock.

Can't agree with that at all ---- looks like they gave Brighton a fair battle this week, so they must be at least a chance against the Valley and even Reynella.

Well the sfl is out of our control it is up to the individual clubs to do something about it. I agree 2 divs would be great in an ideal world but its not gonna save it. mid range teams are still pumping the bottom by 30 goals but then we are 9th currently with our biggest loss of the season of ten goals. teams cant be turned away for being poor they want to play the game just as much as you or the next bloke. just sick to **** of every week hearing about how close the games arent going to be and how 2 divs are going to change that.

Golding now into the Nineties (92) ---- could he post the big one this week ?
Don't know what happened to Procter --- named in the Boot but didn't appear amongst their 23 goals.

Refer an earlier post BTP. Proctor limped off late in game the previous week with a leg injury. Nothing too serious I understand but not worth risking with Reynella now having the BYE this week.

BTW, the Shoes very good on Saturday and worthy finalists. The Bombers had 23 more forward entries but very sloppy with many of them. The stats suggest that Shoes defence have been very good all year and this was evident on the weekend. It comes down to this week vs Flaggies. If they lose to Flaggy for a 2nd time this year then Flaggy probably deserve to finish higher but I have a feeling that the Shoes will win this one.

Kangarilla would come back if there was 2 divs in a heart beat and i am sure there are more clubs that would find it a better option than their current one

Who's the Winefly who booted a Jarman-like "soccer goal over his head" on Saturday ----- my guess would be Milo but the guy who told me about it couldn't tell me who it was.

Btp I would even say that the shoes would have to win both of them if they drop this week. Win this week and 1 of them they are in. But if they only win 1 more for the year and flaggy win 3 you would think they would miss on percentage.
