P W L D PF PA % P

9   F HILL. 14 6 8 0 1207 1123 51.80 12

Shoes to play- falcons, bye, valley and reynella
Falcons to play- shoes, porties, hackham, aldinga

If we beat hackham and aldinga wins are level percentage should be close. If we lose this week a port noarlunga win a must a win this week shoes rely on our port result and must knock off one of their final 2 and hope for the best. Go the punt is spot on in my opinion winner this week to play finals and to deserve to be there

If we were to win all 4 games porties could possibly drop to 8th with us 7th they have valley, falcons, aldinga, and a bye and only 2% percentage higher than f hill

GO THE PUNT wrote:Big game next week between the shoes and flaggies. You could almost say that the winner would be the one that finishes in the 8 at the end of the minor round. But if flaggies drop the game it would have them having to win the last 3 matches. You would say 2 of them would be wins (aldinga and hackam) but the 1st is porties at porties. On the other hand you could say that the shoes drop this 1 its season over. With a bye and games against valley and reynella in the last 3 rounds it would be a tough ask. So if you dont have any plans next saturday head down to the shoes to watch a cracker of a game that could make or break a season. I know I will be looking at the option.

If Flaggies get in, good luck to them.
All I'm saying is the statement highlighted above that "its season over" is not necessarily true, and that Happy Valley and even Reynella are not definite losses for the Shoes as indicated by their excellent contest against Brighton.

On Flagstaff's chances, I agree they are a real chance if they beat the Shoes, and a very good chance if they beat both Noarlunga and Port.
Port's not as safe as I thought. I was looking earlier at their draw which included both Hackham and the Sharks, but if they now lose these two matches against the Valley and Flaggies, and the Falcons have won both weeks, they'll wind up level on points as Asert has said. And Porties percentage is very poor.
One thing's for sure --- if Flaggies beat both the Shoes and Port they'll have proved themselves worthy of the spot indeed.

Taking absolutely nothing away from Shane's achievement because he has still been recognised as one of the best 22 players at a carnival consisting of 140 or more top quality players from all over Australia.

But the last time I drove through Reynella it looked like an Adelaide suburb (almost inner suburb these days) so I wonder how he feels about being recognised as one of Australia's finest "country" footballers.

If I was in the SA team and play for Lameroo and just missed All-Australian selection, I would feel a little duped.

Tend to agree with you T Express, first you have make the SFL side, then make the Southern Team to play in the SA Country champs, then you have to make the S.A State country side, Finally you have to Earn your All Australian country Guernsey!

Hats off to Braddy and the other 3 blokes. Great effort

You could always turn your nose up at the chance to play rep footy and collect your $$$$ running around in the SFL.

That survived until 1997. Below that was the stats - quarter by quarter for kicks, marks and handballs. That lasted until 2000. When the Advertiser changed from broadsheet to tabloid during the 1997/98 off season, it coincided with all AFL games stats being included. I think it also gave the Advertiser the chance to condense the SANFL section to accomodate for this.

The Sunday Mail in 2003 had a liftout for football only. That lasted just that season. Then it was the dogs breakfast you see until now. The Advertiser since 2005 has massive pictures to get rid of print space for the SANFL section. Also, before this, if need be, the ladder was printed on the previous page, separate to the two page SANFL section.

Finally, the Advertiser and Sunday Mail stopped printing the first name initial on the stats a couple of years ago, to end up with the stupid listing of either Kane, Kane or Gowans, Gowans. No-one told you who Ben or Chris was or James and Chris.

Must have been a lazy 6.

He didn't slot in best with 6 in a losing team.

DTH you must be kidding! Its hardly Bradshaws fault the SFL is classed as a country league! Im sure you wouldnt be complaining if this was a brighton player! Also helps with $ return if 1 of your junior players goes onto play AFL footy! A far bigger return $ wise to a country team to a metro team!
Great work Braddy!
