Sorry DTH, not from porties or flaggies! Just heard from a source that #29 had ended up in hospital after being out for 10 mins and knowing him reasonably well didn't really think he was a player looking for trouble. Was just posting in response to another post (both have been deleted) as there are always two sides to a story

Alright mate lets get it right, porties were sniping all day, lead by the serial offender number 7.. who is an absolute disgrace and does it week in week out, he was the one that decided to hit our smallest player, who needed to be helped off the ground.. when our player reminstrated the port noarlunga player, who ended up on in hospital came over, and started on our player aswell.. who then in a split second decision lifted an elbow.. it was not from behind.. how do you knock someone out with an elbow to the chin from behind? a little bit lower and the player would have been fine to keep playing, it was just one of those things, where contact was made to the right spot. Our player got hit and he hit back. It's your players that decide to cause this shit.. and your fans are an absolute disgrace, no one should need to be escorted out of a ground.

I will not be drawn into commenting on what happened on the ground at Pt Noarlunga. If anything is to be done or looked at, it is up to the tribunal and/or investigations committee.

I will however point out that spectators should never be allowed to throw missiles onto the ground, spit at players or make personal threats to players or officials. Due to the menacing manner in which these events occurred, a decision was made to phone the police for the protection of FHFC players, officials and spectators.

Do I really need remind anyone of the incident at Cove a few years back involving Brighton Players and Coaching staff by a couple of unruly spectators? Surely that is enough to justify why it was done.

Did anyone notice Hackham and Aldinga B-Grades both won \:D/
How many years must it have been since that happened !!!!

(Hawks actually won three for the day if you include forfeit from Aldinga Under-18's ---- whom they would have surely beaten anyway after smashing them twice this year. They beat Marion's Sixteens and B's as well)

Didnt see the Porties Flaggies game sat but have seen a few Flaggies games and number 10 is a disgrace. Has he been sent off already this year for a cheap shot on any other players? I think you will find he has! That was a dirty hit from behind off the ball. Lucky the 2nd umpire saw it! Yes number 7 from porties can be tough at it but the games I have seen he hasnt be dirty. Not to say he hasnt in other games!

The Porties players and indeed crowd would want to be on their best behaviour in the coming weeks - arent they soon going to host a game that is to be controlled by female field umpires, female goal umpires, and female boundary umpires, in order to raise awareness about domestic violence?

It certainly wouldnt do for the the cops (all female i would assume) to have to rock up on this occasion!

Okay guys - there's a fair bit of discussion about an incident which occurred during Saturday's game.
As with all incidents such as this, there will be differing opinions on what occurred, depending on who you're involved with.
Might be a good idea to refrain from discussing this issue as it will only further inflame the issue.

Thanks one and all.

Heard there is a meeting at Oval Road tonight with the council. Hopefully the footy club will LISTEN to what is being said and not do their own thing. Not listening to advice may be why the oval is the way it is!

A muddy oval would be a nightmare for anyone who has to walk across it in there best black slacks..!!

You sure this isn’t just an attempt from those involved at the RFC to divert attention away from the ongoing changeroom saga..?

we havent even had much rain this winter, i wonder why its so bad,

Drainage has been checked and no problems with that, no leaking pipes either, maybe the players could walk over to the other side in front of the scoreboard (about 50 meters) to warm up with their kick and catch. The ground in front of the coaches box has been compacted due to overuse and that is the problem, if the footy club had liasied with the council the problem would of been fixed and they would not of had to move the Christies game.

what are you suggesting? when havent they listened?

Plenty of times, suggestions have been passed onto senior RFC committee members, coach also not willing to listen, it's his way or the highway.
