Wind and rain can be a great leveller. Shoe Boy will remember the 2003 Prelim when Morphett Vale were red hot favourites to beat Noarlunga but lost on a horrible windy day. Noarlunga were a finals hardened team coming off 3 consecutive GF's. That game and the 2007 Prelim when Brighton beat Reynella, are probably the 2 biggest finals upsets since we went to 1 Division.

Geez i remember that day in 2003 standing behind the goals - Comer has a shot at the end of the game - kick's it - siren goes - ball hits the post - umpire calls it a goal - Noarlunga win's... :)

Did Reynella have the Sunday Prelim last year, and again this year, not sure that 3 point win was such a good thing.
Morphies to play Sunday in rain then come up aginst rested Brighton who would have to be favourites to win the flag now.

Correct Pale Ale. Reward for being Minor Premier is that if you keep winning you stay on the Saturday during finals.

What about Happy Valley Oval tomorrow afternoon and night for the Sunday Under 14 & 16, and C grade GF's. Bombers in all 3. Could be a case of first goal wins.

So glad that our A, B and Under 18 lads will be cosy and warm in front of the fire this weekend.

Emu's 14's and 16's both finished top of ladder and both exited today in straight sets!! Perhaps 2010 will produce surprises across all grades especially if the weather stays like today.

flaggstaff won in real close game in the 16s by 2 points .morphet vale out after finishing top
morphett vale easily in the 18S, reynella had colinson, still not good enough
reynellawobbles inaccurate losing by couple of points to cove in tha B grade
Cove up by couople of goals against valley in A grade. Porter to leave now?????

Lost with about two seconds left on the clock ---- don't think you can really call that "wobbles" ----- especially when the side you were playing finished higher than you on the ladder.
