Deepest sympathy from the Gepps Cross Football Club on this tragic loss. His father was a great friend of many at our club and our thoughts are with the family at this very sad time.

Cheers for a great day today Hawks. Great hitout for both teams I thought played in good spirit, you guys have improved significantly from last year by all reports and on behalf of Mawson Lakes FC we wish you the best this year. We look forward to hopefully returning the favour next year & keep the relationship between the 2 teams going.

Thanks mate. Everyone really enjoyed it. We got a lot out of the game. Thanks for coming down and also for sticking around to have a beer at our marquee. First time we've had it up and looks like its a stayer.

A massive day at Doctors Road this coming Saturday with a tribute to Rusell Backhouse and family. If you get a spare moment come down and celebrate a great kid and a memory that will live on forever at the Hackham Football Club. We will also be raising money for the family with a few boys geting waxed and some raffles during the day.

Dont know the exact scores but our As lost by 4 goals...thanks to the slow start where Mawson Lakes kicked 8 to our 1...but the 2nd quarter went our way...ML started the 3rd well but we pulled them back...then we controlled most of the last...slowly clawed our way back into it.

It was full 4 qtr games for both As and Bs...no juniors.

Pretty sure all junior and senior grades playing this saturday for the Russel Backhouse fundraiser day.

I do know how frustrating it is to work as hard or harder than more successful clubs than yours but it usually is because not enough people are willing to help out,as i said keep working always look ahead not behind and you will find a positive in the worst of times ^:)^

Bad luck in the Showdown against Aldinga on the weekend fellas. Didn't see the game but looks like you got off to a good start, but they took control in the 2nd & 3rd quarters. Only a couple of goals each in the last, but maybe better accuracy in front of goal could have got you a bit closer in the end? Oh well there's always next time, and from all reports it sounds like it was a good day down at Hawk Park, despite the loss.

Good hitout on the weekend Hawks, keep your heads up. The way you guys smashed us in the first quarter was a good sign for your club.

Just a shame one of the two sides had to lose that one.
Keep your heads up, Hawks ! You'd have never played a quarter like that first one pre-Ker days, so something is definitely heading in the right direction. :-bd
