Seems the Reynella boys are a touch precious about young Brendan.

Did Butcher play on the weekend or did he stay home and watch the Cats-Bulldogs game on his TEAC?

Shoeboy, BJ what were your thoughts on the COve Noarlunga game??
Noarlunga appeared to have half there team under 21 and the other half over 30!!!
Cove to good and there big forwards too much for Noarlunga to handle
Well done to Josh Ramsey and Josh Vick who made the final 24 to travel to Melbourne this week to represent SA Counrty in the carnival...

Dropped into Cove on the Weekend and saw that thug football is alive and well. In all grades bar the 'A' Grade Noarlunga not
quite good enough went the the thug and punch route. Can't understand why, all it did was to show what an undisciplined club they still are. If they had have concentrated nore on playing the ball they may have got closer in a couple of games. Thought those days were gone. Congrats to the two umpires of the 'B' grade game who did well to stifle the stupidity and get the game going. Class will always overcome thuggery. Noarlunga 'A's cannot be lumped into the same basket as the rest of the club though they tried hard all day and were reasonably competitive against the bigger and more experienced Cove.

Jono Cove way to good for the depleted shoe line up.(as I posted on friday, huge injury list) half over 30??? you may have go mistaken on a couple of lads that are balding and do look older but are only 18&19 not joking. Jono I am suprised that Matt Revell did not get a gig. The lad is a gun and a quality bloke as well, you may of noted that we ran a 15 year old lad with him just so he can learn from the experiance and his feed back after the game was positive. Jono as posted I still beleive Brighton to be best side this season Cove close behind. Jono I did find a tree to hide under as did your B grade on the far side?? and still dont rate the facility or oval. Good luck for the rest of the season and hope that you guys get the privillege of playing at the Shoe in the finals (Shoe hosting first semi and prelim) :)

Vic not sure if you were at the right game???? NO SENDOFF all day. 2 warnings in the 18 teens 1x cove 1x noarlunga in the b' grade you have a thug (your words) who has small man sindrome and thinks he is KING? who ruffed up a kid and got some payback. Just for your info not one player in any grade has been suspended this season.FACT :)

Emus won pretty easy in the end, Emus kicking 35ish goals, but the Twisties kicked what was i think the highest score against us this year, banging thru 13 or 14 goals (including the first 3 of the match).

Not sure how they have been performing in their games but I've heard that Bomber and Twiggy have got the boys back in pre-season mode trying to boost their fitness leading into the finals.

I can count on one hand how many players have left our club for $$$ over the past 5-6 years... Haven't heard that one yet... Hey Flyer, see if you guys want to get back on board with the annual "punt" we used to enjoy with you guys... Everyone loves a punt don't they, we will match whatever you can muster... Looking forward to Sunday that is for sure...

Reynella would be pretty stupid to bet on that match going on their current form. Hopefully they put in a solid team performance and play some consistant footy. these next four weekls will tell where they are at, I've heard some big names coming back in the next few weeks. (a tough month ahead for the flys) anything can happen in footy though.

Stupidity has never stopped them previous years. Funny how in the not so prosperous times the Emu Old Boys still found the cash to match the bet bit of a shame same can't be said about the Old Winos.

Morphett Vale were a very good unit on the weekend there skill execution is second to none very rarely miss a target.

How many blokes do you guys get on the trainin track?

Makes a difference when you have a b grade side which is just as good as your a grade and that you are playing for a spot every weekend.

Well done! Pitty about having to turn the lights on half way through the third quarter cause it was that dark.

In answer to the query about the Valley, two losses in thirteen rounds suggests they are a genuine Flag prospect in my opinion. Some of their wins have not been by as much as you'd expect, but they keep winning !
To me it seems they are travelling along quietly under the radar, but when they really need it they rise to an impressive level --- just ask the Emus.

Don't take too much notice of the Reynella side printed in The Boot last week. The Wineys emailed it through at usual time, but apparently it got held up somewhere in the system 'cos the Boot guy reckons he didn't get it for nearly 24 hours, and had to print an unchanged side.
