This should be a cracker of a match as Brighton have alot to prove. Or were people on here getting a little ahead of themselves with Brighton (especially shoe boy) and last week was just a little reality check for them after playing a bunch of the lower ranked teams - time will tell.

AFL Flyer,Agree I have been writing up Brighton and like some was surprised about last weeks resut. Saying that I am still on them and expect a big game come Sat against the premiers. :)

Smart money has to be on the emus.Brighton lack of genuine talls will be the difference bodey will kill it in the ruck and give the emus onballers first use, going to be a belter of a game thou.Is the winner premiership favourite

Think Brookman has been getting in the best a bit lately. Watching him & Bodey go head 2 head will be a quality matchup. The big oval will suit Brighton esp if it is a dry day. but like last years grand final i am not sure they will have enough goalkickers against Smith, Gaskin & co to get them over the line. Emus by 6 goals.

Surely the only un defeated team at this stage (cove) deserve to be favourite for the flag at this stage.

Who will be Favourite on Saturday evening tho (probably the side that has lost the least amount of games to that stage i would think)

My prediction is it will still be Cove but they wont be un defeated

Problem is tho that cove have been in a similar position before (top of the ladder near finals) and yet been found wanting. Granted that this year they have beaten Morphies away and looked reasonably untroubled in their other big games but if there was a bookie taking bets i am not so sure they would be a clear favourite.

Seems to be an air of confidence coming out of the reynella camp this week.....get a feeling they believe they are a big chance on saturday. If they do get up it will put a big spin on things heading into finals!

As much as i hate saying it,Cove would have to be flag favourites at the moment and definately deserve to be,obviously in the next cupla weeks we will all have a much clearer picture.

Anyone heard how the lad from Marion went at tribunal on Tuesday night. Write up in the local paper about the incident. I hope it wasnt the big lad with blonde hair who goes around swinging everytime I have watched him play. [-X

The lad from Marion by all reports did not show up for the hearing,so i would assume he would be suspended indefinately, and the club could be in alot of strife, and no it was not the big blonde lad for marion,i believe it was the young aboriginal lad that threw all the punches and caused the stitches to the emu players face. The big blonde lad was at the interchange bench but did not play. The young aboriginal lad really needs to learn some discipline as the punches he threw were not called for at all.

Not condoning what this lad did but my sorces tell me that just before it happened the m/vale player grabbed him in the nether region. Even a couple of m/vale supporters sitting inside said he probally deserved it. As i said not an excuse but most of us probally would have retaliated in that situation.

I have played alot of games for a few different clubs and don't mind telling it how it is. I am looking at taking up coaching soon but not sure.

Thought I'd introduce myself not sure if thats the thing to do or not but anyway thats me.

Its taken me a while but I have read the past 10 pages or so and seems to be alot of focus on finals which is good and also a surprise moving side out maybe by the sound of it?

Think with the way things have progressed coming into the last few weeks of minor rounds that this years final series looks to be a corker. Any news of people hanging up the boots at seasons end or coaching staff moving apart from the obvious. Have heard at Porties they may be in the hunt for a new coach next year? On good sorce wonder if any truth in that? Goes with Hill and maybe Evans and also Lynch? Could be a different SFL next year?

Welcome Retiree, can only comment on one of your coaching queries Dave Evans will coach Reynella at least until end of 2009 season is contracted until then he told me that on sat night.

That will be very interesting to see how that plays out, obviously a lot will depend on this years finals performance, my sources tell me anything apart from a premiership will save him...

Mex this time your sources are incorrect mate he will coach us in 2009 guarenteed.

Just spoke to my source, my previous statement stands, guess we will just have to wait and see...

Whenever anyone comments about the coaching situation at Reynella you and other posters involved with the Wineys come out denying everything. If everything is rosy, why do you have to reply every time? :?
