SFL COACHING MERRY-GO-ROUND

Postby a2m » Tue Sep 02, 2008 12:19 pm

Ok, now lets look at the SFL coaching situation, who are really the favourites for the jobs who have interviewed at which clubs, we know Lynch has gone to hackham, at the last minor round game Lynch told the team the lonsdale coach had quit too, so who is in the front at Morphetvale, Lonsdale, Aldinga, Christies, are there any I have missed.

From the top -

Cobra's - Ando (surely will be staying)
Vikings - Twigden (should remain the same i would think)
Emu's - Looking and will be advertising/interviewing soon after finals are finished
Bombers - Francis (have heard a slight whisper that he may not go on next year, however they have advertised for every grade except the A's)
Winefly's - Evans (we know he is contracted, so let's assume he stays)
Cockledivers - Bergman (Think he may be on the way out, Manhood tipped to take over)
Roos - Meuret (would assume he is staying)
Falcons - Remaining the same
Rams - Haven't heard..??
Lonsdale - Haven't heard..??
Christies - Looking, heard the names Excelby/Groom mentioned
Noarlunga - Irvine (assume he is staying)
Aldinga - Looking, (seem to be left in the lurch, hope the "good club players" don't follow)
Hackham - Appointed Lynch..??

The Vikings are a dual role ----- Darren Twigden and Darrin Spinks.
Still haven't heard any comfirmation of Lynch at Hackham. They were still advertising for a coach in last weekend's "Boot".

Reynella's coach is under contract for next season.....

Not 100% sure but i dont think Keamy left Reynella on the best of circumstances.... If i were aldinga i would be doing everything in its power to try and get him back to the sharks in 2009.

I'd like to think that Adam Widdison would follow him as Christies is a club Widdo hasn't played for yet -

Having spoken to a few guys from Marion they seemed to think that Excelby was headed home for 2009 season.... i dont think they were too happy with huge amount spent on players this year for little result. If it comes down to a bidding war i dont think christie's cap guns will be able to cope with massive firepower of marion's army tanks.

On the christies coaching side of it, there is one guy who has been left out. He is currently involved with another club in the SFL and has been interviewed for the job. I find it strange that no one has mentioned hs name, he is a bit of a legend at his club and i wonder if he has asked christies to keep it a little quiet........

Hey Bomberland this may be a syupid question but who are you involved with. If Exelby went back to Marion would be a huge get for them as his heart and soul was always at Marion.

Maybe if he got the Marion job, he'd take Wendleborn and Howes back with him too.
