So, couple of good games this week to start of finals fever. Emus v Bombers and Cobras v Vikings. Pretty even finals series coming up there i imagine. Noarlunga would have been shattered on hearing of the valley win last week. Probably thought they were heading towards finals after their huge win against the pigs.
Ill say emus and cobras to start off with wins with HV heading for an early exit.

Brilliant work by C Vonow winning almost footy legends last night by wearing a fearsome Shoe shepherd!

Valley's 18s not making finals could give their C grade side a boost so the early exit you forecast may not happen

But won't you lose the b grade that got you in the finals in the first place. I apologize if I have this wrong.

Think the coach made the emotional decision of playing true blue C graders rather than the best talent available. Understandable and now these guys get to finish their footy in August rather than September

Yeah but when you have players that are all talk at the start of the year about their commitment go walkabouts mid season and then when finals are approaching turn up again think you could be better off playing some of the lads from 18s who have trained all year and are seniors next season. What I do know is that Pockets deserves a medal for putting up with some of these guys and their egos

Looking at the scores of the Brighton MV game. Bombers had more scoring shots and looks like emus couldnt miss. Can only guess both teams had enough of the ball to win, but bad kicking is bad football i guess.

Lucky for the Emu boys none were season ending, mainly just soft tissue, something to do with age perhaps?

Would think most if not all will be pressing for selection on Thursday and with the B grade going down on Sunday, probably have a few other options they hadn't calculated for. One thing is for sure the side will be able to run out with 21 players this weekend which is something that hasn't happened very much at all this year :D

Very strong Brighton side on the weekend, with a good probably half dozen ineligible this weekend thanks to Brightons B's getting up :D :D

2-1 in Brightons favour for the year so no clear favourite for mine, should be a good game under lights and look forward to witnessing hopefully an Emu win!

Bombers without Tregoning and Jones in the midfield, but some handy inclusions to the centre line With Brad Parkin and Aysh Simper in form, its going to be a cracking game for c grade..

Very even contest under lights, lets hope the rain stays away...

Sam Lock for the season medal !!!

always great to come away with a win, but what a tough game of footy. After umpteen years of having a kick, you know brighton will never throw in the towel at any stage. Over the last few years, i think both teams have earnt a lot of respect from each other and makes it great fun to play against each other at that level.

DTH, any news on the big fella pethick? Noone likes to see anyone in that much trouble, and hope he is doing ok and gets back on the park for footy's sake.

A little disappointing to see such a small write up on the Sunday Grand Finals from saturday nt in this weeks argus. No team photo's, and the C grade write up is wrong anyway. Maybe it was too late at night and too many beverages had been consumed! :drinkers:

For starters, the journo is a teetotaller and resents your implication.
As for the size of the write up ---- its only the C-Grade. Be thankful you got a mention.
The write up was wrong was it ? Why ? Did Brighton win ? Or was there some minor inaccuracy because the journo was rushing to complete an extra article so that he could get the C-Grade Premier acknowledged ?
This is the sort of crap that makes the journo want to quit, and then see what acknowledgment the C-Grade gets !

Good on you BTP - these C Graders have to realise the only people who cares who wins is them. I seen the write up in the Argus and didnt even bother to read it, Morphies won was enough information

The other write ups were really well done and worth the read BTP - well done

PA's comments were in response to another poster's negativity, LK ---- you should read it all through from the opening post before you call someone names.
I appreciate PA's backup. You sir, have no idea.
