Got a chance to watch both A and B grade games on the weekend. With Reynella A grade out and their B grade losing a few players I think Brighton will get up over Reynella quite easily. They have too many big bodies with Hoare, Woodhouse and the other ruck for Reynella who won't have Bayliss and can't get either Guy or Ciampi from A grade, so i'm unsure who will even play ruck for them! Plus when you have guys like Schneebichler, Mcpherson and Degenhardt running around it's going to be tough to beat them.
I thought the Brighton B grade looked really sharp on saturday and won most positions around the ground. You will see one of the best midfield match ups go head to head on saturday with Brookman going up against Bode, probably the top two ruckmen in the SFL. Then you have midfielders like Bennetts and Bayly, go up against the likes of Norsworthy, Johnstone and King, some of the best fielders going around including a few mail medal winners.
Will the steady backline be able to keep Trev in line or will he reach the magic tonne in the GF???
I think it's Brighton's year this year and although Morphies have done extremely well considering the players they have lost over the past two years I think Brighton will get their tales up and r over the top of them.
