On a related note, there are a number of songs known by, almost psuedo (as opposed to Psuedo) titles. Was chatting with a mate the other day about John Mellencamp and I mentioned how "Pink Houses" is one of my favorites songs of his. She looked quite blank until I described it further...."Oh, you mean Ain't That America".

Reckon there are a number of songs out there with this syndrome. Neil Finn has said before that, if they had labelled the song "Hey now, hey now" in brackets, he is nearly sure "Don't Dream It's Over" would have made it to number one in the US, rather than just number three, based on anecdotal evidence of many people asking record shops for the "Hey Now" song and the retailer not knowing what song they meant.

I always thought Lennon's Give Peace a Chance was:
Oh we are sailing, let's give peace a chance

Which reminds me of a time when I worked on the wharf years ago and we had a livestock vessel in, anyway there were protesters against live exports there singing to the tune of Lennon:

All We Are Saying, Is Give Sheep A Chance

No mention of "misheard titles" on This August Forum would be complete without a reference to "This Is Australia" (sic) by GANGgajang. I wonder how PhilG is getting on?

I'm trying to remember the song and band name, but i can't recall it despite a bit of googling. There's a song where one of the words sounds like "snoopy" or "snoopys", i was most surprised to hear one day that that wasn't it at all.

Could it be The Stranglers - Skin Deep:

"Better watch out for the Snoopy" ?

(after  at the misspelling of Pseudo). For a fair time, I actually thought that was "Better watch out for the string beans".
