I was sure I saw they are at Adelaide Oval in November? That's what it said in the Sunday Mail yesterday.

Adelaide legends GRONG GRONG and seminal punk band X are playing at The Gov tomorrow night (August 7th). Well worth seeing if you don't want bells and whistles and costume changes just good old punk rock! 8)

I heard only about 100 or so people turned up. According to someone close to the band (Grong Grong) they're going to do a tour of the eastern states soon.

Les Claypool 'Of Fungi And Foe' Tour

Sat 5th December @ Thebarton Theatre

Tickets on sale 9am Fri 18th September through Venue Tix

>Australian lovers of twisted four string bass excursions rejoice! Les Claypool heads to Australia this December bringing with him the arsenal of complex rhythms and death defying melodic twists and turns that feature on his latest solo opus Of Fungi And Foe.

When it comes to taking the bass guitar far beyond the usual confines and out into the musical stratosphere, no one over the past twenty five years has come close to matching the absolute mind snapping brilliance of bass player extraordinaire Les Claypool.

From his early work with Primus through the eighties to his latest soon to be released solo album Of Fungi and Foe, Claypool has redefined with humour, intelligence and above all sheer talent, what being a bass player in a modern rock outfit is all about.

Since his last album release, 2006’s Of Whales and Woe, Claypool has been busy with his films, scoring other’s films and video games while most recently having fun out on tour on a double bill with Matisyahu.

Of Fungi And Foe is the expansion of material Claypool has recorded over the past few years for the video game “Mushroom Men” and the motion picture “Pig Hunt”. Being inspired by these 2 projects Claypool decided to keep creating and turn it into an album. The song Mushroom Men on this release is a more in depth version of the theme song from the video game. Additionally a jam session with Gogol Bordello’s charismatic front-man Eugene Hutz turned into the track “Bite Out Of Life”.<

I remember seeing Primus at Thebby on their last tour here in 2000 I think and for the life of me I can't see this show staying at Thebby. HQ or even Fowlers would've been more appropriate for mine.
