This is more a "bands from Adelaide", but...

Grenadiers @ Enigma. Tomorrow night.

Have heard a couple of their songs on 3D Radio, and they are awesome. I have to weigh up going to this or to a birthday bash (maybe I can make both!).

Hope it was good LL!

Grinspoon are playing at the Gov on the 17th September and Muse have just announced their December tour with no Adelaide show.

Crap. I notice Florence & the Machine (very different to Mark Lanegan I know) has just added extra Sydney and Melbourne shows but won't come here.

Peter Hook's Unknown Pleasures tour, which is doing Sydney and Melbourne, is likely to play here and Perth as well.

And so he is:

As previously reported, Joy Division founding member Peter Hook is coming to Australia in September to perform the band's debut album Unknown Pleasures as well as early legendary singles 'Transmission' and 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'.

He's put together a band that includes his son, and they've already done shows in the UK, earning really good reviews. Hook recently told Tom and Alex that he's been a little terrified by the experience, because of the expectation of Joy Division fans.

The Australian tour was originally scheduled with just three dates - in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Additional dates have now been added in Adelaide and Perth. Tickets for those shows go on sale next Friday August 13.

Here's the full run of dates:

Fri September 24 - Melbourne, Palais Theatre
Sat September 25 - Sydney, Enmore Theatre
Mon September 27- Brisbane, Tivoli Theatre
Tue September 28 - Adelaide, Her Majesty's Theatre
Thu September 30 - Perth, Astor theatre
