Yes Velvet Revolver are coming! Another band I meant to include in my list. A little disappointed with the ticket price over $105+ though as argubaly the biggest alternative band ever (RATM) are only charging $99.

Okay, fair call re Rage but...

They've played to half a million people a couple of times in their career, sold out their Aussie gigs in under 3 minutes, their debut self titled album went 3x platinum.

Okay, it's up for debate. But since I said 'arguably', who would be a bigger alternative band? Nirvana are up there, Pearl Jam maybe?

One for the guitar fans..Dream Theater are touring in late January. It's taken the band over 20 years to come here :lol:

The Poor we're and I guess still are my favorite Aussie band.
It's been 10 years since they last toured.

MatteeG, went along to Irrelevant, pretty disappointing actually. Their 25 minute set was a haze of distortion, vocals were terrible, etc, etc, etc. You didn't miss much.

Anyone heading to Velvet Revolver? Am currently reading the new book 'Slash', a great read and after reading it I might just head along to the gig!
