Back on top....... Didn't expect that at all given I lost and had Zorko and Acres. Very very happy that the bye rounds are almost done with.

A strong performance indeed by the top leagues as they all made advances during a difficult bye week with suspensions and the omission of Lloyd really biting some teams. Hogg Elite is starting to make inroads now as is Hogg Premier. Hogg I's improvement continues but the gains made by Hogg II last week have been undone as Hogg III have passed them by again and Hogg IV has zoomed off into the distance. Hogg V has a couple of very strong teams in it but there is a significant drop in class from Division IV. The Piglet Shield has overtaken V once again.

Well it turns out we have 124 coaches and not 125 as I've published a few times this season. It seems as though like Santa, I had to check my list twice. The Mustangs are still naughty, and the Adelaide Crows are still nice.

Made it through the byes and at #1 gotta be happy with that, now the real stuff begins again.

Currently sitting 23rd, which is respectable and somewhere near my final possie last year IIRC.

Goal currently is that elusive Elite league for 2015 which is still in sight, only 137 points behind squeakeroos in 18th.

Plenty of trades in the bank and a relatively solid team and I should finish strong, time will tell!

I am actually only one win off 5th place as it is very even just the way the wins and losses have fallen.

The league is like the Hogg Elite league just chasing ranking glory so I have to balance up the two goals of trying to rank well but also have a team that can win league finals. I haven't got the balance right for a few years especially last year when I fell in a heap in the finals.

Round 10 is always a good one for stats nerds. It's easy to work out the team's average at a glance. Even a guy who flunked Maths three years out of two in high school can work this lot out. Interesting to note that 106 of the 124 coaches are averaging over 2000 points a game. That would have to go pretty close to being a Hogg record.

In the Division II results post for this week I wrote that Delicious might have lost his game despite finishing second in the Hogg but he'll be relieved to find out that several players in other divisions beat his score so this unwanted record remains with yours truly after I got done by Hondo last year after recording the third highest score in the Hogg.

Round 10 saw a change in the ladder as the Adelaide Crows fell off their perch and RKJ's team now sits fourth in the overall standings. Darksiders, not for the first time is top of the standings further enhancing their status as the best Hogg Shield team of all time.

Thanks REB- lovely to know I wasnt the new record holder, equally as distressing to see my opponent who managed the pr*ck of a victory is ranked 77th. Still hate this game but
