Well done Benny rolfs on spectacularly handing my ass to me not once but twice this season! Well done!!

I ran out of trades last week so had to ride toby greene on the bench and my dads army boys like boak and mundy didnt show up, worpedo was mediocre at best and didnt trading jezza cameron out last week work out well for me!

Am very happy with my season this year as normally im down the other end of the ladder trying to prove Rebs early season predictions are unfounded.

That's interesting about your trades because had we met I would have been forced to carry Greene as well. I would have got up by 60 if I played you but Ben R would have done me in by 60 and so a deserving winner.

Firstly, congratulations to Ben Rolfsburgers on the grand final win. I know from tough experience just how hard it is to keep winning right to the end.

To take nothing away from Ben (as this is just me publicly whinging) here are the comparisons of my PODs from prelim final to the last round.

M Crouch 56 - 134
Sicily 47 - 124
Hawkins 40 - 35 (terrible trade in for Cameron as it turned out however the cash generated allowed me to afford Whitfield)
Pendles 89 - 115

160 points extra and I lost last week by around 100. That said, Ben R could probably point out a similar list of his PODs and the harsh reality is your team has to perform when it has to perform, not a week later.

That was the story of my season. I went 6-1 to 7-9 and the amount of times I outscored the team the week after they defeated me was ridiculous. The biggest beatdown I got was from Benny Rolfs but perhaps the best side in the league didn't even make the eight, Richo was .2% short of romping it in. Well done to Benny and Poon who his had best ever season. Finishing second now is a better result than winning the 2007 when the league ranking wasn't even Divvy III standard.

Regards,

Review

After years of quality play in the minor round, Ben Rolfsburgers finally shook off the Bridesmaids tag with a convincing win the Hogg Premier League Grand Final against arch rival Poon. The Rolfs have been solid for years but had a habit of falling over in August but this year he laid all the ghosts to rest with a solid showing that followed up an almost faultless minor round showing in a league that reached a ranking of 296. Poon was a valiant runner up who managed to get the best of most sides in the competition but Benny proved to be too good on both occasions and the Rolfs proved to be too great an obstacle for hambone overcome. That leaves both finalists with one title each as Poon won the first ever Hogg Premier League title all the way back in 2007.

Hondo and Delicious also had very good seasons with Hondo the new Benny Rolfs as they somehow haven't quite cracked it for that first flag just even though they are a regular in top four considerations. Delicious threatened at times this year but looked a step behind the top two but were good enough to make it to the second last week of the season.

Spare a thought for Richo Richo Man who topped the scoring in the league and scored over 2800 on Grand Final day. They missed out by .2% and if they had gotten in CoverKing might well be celebrating his second title. Power team Has Been made a bit of a late charge and it was their late season form that kept Richo out in the cold.

A couple of teams had black and white seasons with REBCats staring like a house on fire but only winning one of their last ten matches. On the other side of the coin Captain Who and Q Before You appeared to have genuine relegation worries hanging over their head until they came home with some solid form and all three sides were camped comfortably outside of the eight in the end. The relegation battle was fought out between the bottom three sides but Mediocre at Best did enough to send down Longwood Lions who suffered a narrow loss in the last round at the hands of Poon to confirm the drop. The Honey Badgers struggled all year and despite winning a few games over the latter part of the season they always looked likely to go down.

Next season Division I Premiers Hips Don't Lie will return to Premier League and they will be joined by Wadey's Warriors in the top flight. Congratulations to Ben Rolfsburgers, the 2019 Hogg champions1

regards,
