Hogg Round 4 -Land of confusion

Postby Rik E Boy » Wed Jun 24, 2020 11:15 pm

Another quick turnaround with the Bullies and the Swines facing off tomorrow night. The carnage has begun already with Josh Dunkley set to miss about a month with an injury sustained in the Dogs win over the Giants. Less relevant is the 'ankle tweak' to Dyson Heppell, haven't seen him in any teams yet. Early mail is that the big three from the Giants play this week which is good news for Whitfield owners. The Chase might be on for Demons and Bombers players because there might be a round where we get some double up action happening. A double serve of Gawn as skipper would be a fitting respite for all those hurt last week, it really is a land of confusion.

It's still a little early to be cashing in the cows but the axe is being sharpened for the likes of Noble and Pickett who looks more timid with each outing. Lowest breakeven stars are the freakish Matt Rowell and ex Hawk ruck Pittonet who has good JS while Blues try and sticky tape Matty Kruezer back together again. Lachie is the number scoring player in the land but in a surprise, North veteran Goldy is top of the ruck table over the more favoured Grawndy combination with Grundy carrying a bit of a foot niggle.

Hopefully none of the players sneeze this week or Gil will shit himself and Daisy will lose his match and his shit. Roll up or tank, the choice is yours! Happy Hogging to anyone still flying the flag and hopefully we get nine matches in boyos.

And in totally shocking unbelievable news SC has shafted Ess/Melb owners again with the announcment of what happens when Ess/melb eventually play each other.
It will be full teams and you will get the best score of the players that play in both games. For example if you have Gawn and he scores 120 in one game and 125 in the other you get the 125, thanks for the advantage you incompetent ****.
It doesnt matter when you brought the players in
Also presumably, hypothetically if one of these players has a bad 1st game of say 8 and will drop massively in price you wont be able to trade him out, if he then has another bad game the losses could be massive.

I still cant get over the trolling this week by the same people who announced the rules. See article "silver lining" of ess/melb game where coaches that didnt have breakout stars like Petracca orViney or didnt have the rookies in Bennel or Rivers can get them in at the same price this week. "Silver ******* Lining for who? Certainly not the coaches who got shafted last week

Lets say you were lucky enough not have any ess/melb premos.
AS opposed to say 5.
Now conservatuively lets say they average 100.
Thats now 500 points in the overall rankings that they will be better off by not having ESS/Melb players.
The rules have done nothing to address this imbalance.
Its why scores shouldve been applied to last weeks game.

I'm getting pillaged, Bennell, Pickett, Sturt all out, Cumming, Zerk-Thatcher and Cavarra all missing since round 1, going to struggle for a full team and I needed to get SPP and Cameron out of my team.

Loophole Grundys 135, or out the C on Neale, Dangerfield, Cripps or Gawn? Playing the best team in my Div. Oh, and loophole kills me if Xerri ends up getting a game.

Get involved Rosey you ******* girls blouse! Round 1 and 2 he smashes out the points for fun. I pick him up and 55 points in six quarters. At least Heeney used to buy me dinner first.

Fyfe joins Howe on the sidelines. Two top scoring players out of action for a little while. Some people have both. Luckily just Howe for me.

mmm tough one
Doedee probably gets 80 or 90, Neale could beat that by 60.
I think you have to match, Gawn vs Fort is likely to go bigger than Neale. Even Jacobs scored 134 vs Fort. If you dont match and Gawn beats Neale by 20 thats 80 Neale has to beat Doedee by.
