Pretty stiff to effectively get sacked after taking over right after we finish near bottom, making the cup final and losing the A-League EF at the death to the eventual winners, then winning the FFA Cup and likely qualifying for the finals the following season all while having heaps of injured players, no competent strikers, no spare CB and no support from the owners...

I didn't love his game style, but not sure what else Kurz could have done.

Yeah, not convinced he threw anyone under the bus except the owners. To suggest he threw the fans under the bus is laughable.

It's all very well to expect people to toe the company line, but that's a bit difficult when there's virtually no communication from the ownership.

Ah, so Kurz is the problem and when the new guy arrives next year we'll be knocking in plenty of goals and winning most games. Yeah, right.

Crowds down across the A League yet again. Only club that improved Sydney FC who ironically have been all over the shop while the SFS gets revamped.

Just read the interview with Piet van der Pol in today's 'tiser. It seems the main reason for getting rid of Kurz was that his time was up. Piet thinks clubs should not have the same coach for more than two years.

Adelaide United player Ken Ilso has been provisionally suspended by the FFA, after failing a drug test.

Ilso tested positive for a metabolite of cocaine, and is banned from participating in the A-League while the suspension is in place.
