What they have done for the sport is amazing. There passion is unrivalled. How can you want them to stay away?

United pump the Smurfs 3-1, good win. Dominated all game apart from a small patch in the second half

Amazing game in Melbourne today, Engelaar scored a goal better than Rooneys and from further out!
The Heart had 10 chances to 1 in the first half and the Mariners managed to make it 1-1 at half time
Then the Heart dominated most of the 2nd half and we got another goal through Ibini to win 2-1.
I don't know how we do it with 3 of our back 4 gone from the championship side, losing Ryan, losing McGlinchey, losing McBreen, losing our coach.
So proud, the only side anyone could truly love in the A - League. :D

I was in Bali for the last week and watching South East Asian Fox Sports (Best channel I've seen) and they did a full wrap up of the ACL. Some yank bloke said Adelaide Utd are the best team in Asia from what he's seen that aren't in the ACL this campaign. I then almost choked on my 9th long neck Bintang for the day and went to bed not believing what I heard.

In some seriousness I am really liking the foundations United are laying for the future. The game style for A League standard is great to watch.

Great to see the Mariners bear the ferals last night, our worst season ever and we're sitting 2nd. Gotta love the A League! lol

Perth Glory have announced that Travis Dodd won't have his contract renewed at the end of the season, the same day that captain Jacob Burns has announced his retirement from football.

This is embarassing.
Led after a minute and have now conceded 2 penalties and had Elrich sent off for fighting.
Trail 2-1 at the break and playoff hopes looking shaky

Ferreira grabs a 92nd minute equaliser, not a great result but will take a point

Good 2nd half playing with 10 man and deserved the point.
WTF was Elrich thinking, stupid.
Defence has been their issue all season, need to improve that in the offseason.
Its going to be entertaining watching them in the finals, going to be plenty of goals scored.
That Engelaar for Heart is a very good player once he went off, The heart did nothing.

A straight swap with Elsey for the injured Marone would've been better than changing the formation around. Missed the impact of Zullo on the left wing when he went to defence. Elsey looks the goods though and shored up the right full back spot in the 2nd half.

AU will benefit more from a game like last night leading into the finals, than if they ran away with an easy win and all goes to plan.

That's a relief! Thanks to our northern neighbours we hold onto 3rd for the time being and can still get 2nd but we are playing Brisbane in Brisbane.

Anyone want to car pool or do you think Adelaide United will let a couple of Central Coast fans from Adelaide come with them? :D

Rumours are David Villa will be loaned out to Melbourne Heart till New York require him! Huge coup for the A-League if so, might be in the twilight of his career but to have Spain's leading scorer running around shortly after he's been involved in the WC would be great for the league!
