I'm just a tad surprised as last year this was the most prestigious trophy in world football, now no one on here or Facebook seems to care about it

And now some do care care ;)

I didn't even know the game was on last night, but would never tip Adelaide to beat the Victoire, they simply own us.

Still a very important trophy.
Think amid the footy finals around the place and the A-League season not starting yet it seems to be lost in the media a tad. Id still like to see it played midweek during the A-League season, would probably generate a little more intetest in the mainstream

Sorry for not posting earlier Hammer, occasionally I have to do some work. ;-)

Terrible display. The first two goals were caused by us stuffing around at the back - I'm not sure we're good enough to keep playing it out the back like Barca. If the other team is smart enough to press, as Victory did, we are going to run into trouble.

At least my mate guessed the score correctly and won a $50 drink voucher (he doesn't drink).

Salary cap cheats win. Lol at Scott Jameson putting his penalty not only over the bar but out of the ground against his old club.

Heidleberg United 0-5 Melbourne City - crowd 11,372

Perth 1-1 Western Sydney (Perth won 4-2 on pens) - crowd 3,003

The crowd for the Heidleberg game was the second biggest ever in the cup after the Final last season.
