Did they change the amount of SA teams for this year? I only remember 2, Adelaide City and UTD

No, Metrostars got in after winning the National Premier League, basically a competition at the end of the season between the winners of all the state leagues.

Full time. A good away cup win for the SA side. After looking ordinary in the first half, Metrostars turned it around in the second half and always looked like winning. Surprisingly they looked fitter late in the game. Blacktown seemed to get frustrated at the end there, giving up a couple of yellow cards and playing without much attacking flair. It should have been 3-1 but Scott Tunbridge missed a 93rd minute penalty, blazing the ball over the bar.

Palm Beach win in a marathon shootout, and Hume City prevail 4-3 with a late late winner courtesy of an own goal by the Brisbane defender.

The Victory defeated NSW 3rd tier side Balmain 6-0 tonight in front of nearly 5,000 at Leichhardt Oval. Sydney Olympic and Melbourne City both got late winners to defeat Gungahlin and Edgeworth away. Meanwhile, Sydney United came back from 2-0 down to take the lead against South Hobart, who then equalised 3-3. The score remains 3-3 at HT in ET.

Paid my $15 to see Croydon lose 1-2 to Lions (Qld.). Match was OK, Kings probably blew it missing two very gettable headers in the second half. The pen from which Lions scored their second goal was dodgy. Ref wasn't going to give it but the linesman told him it was a pen so he changed his mind. I thought he got the ball.

In other games Sydney beat Sorrento in Perth 2-0 and Rockdale City (NSW) beat Perth SC 3-1.

Gee, Rochdale's pitch looked like a cow paddock, didn't it?

Croydon could have scored twice that I saw late in the game.

Funny to watch the difference in discipline in the games not involving A League sides - I think it a Croydon player who got cleaned up after the Lions pen had gone in. Plus when the Croydon player flung the ball at the linesman deep in the game.

And...Dom, take your scarf off when you're on cam, you looked like a bullfrog!
