From last night:

Green Gully (Vic.) 2-1 Central Coast - crowd 876
Western Sydney 3-2 Wellington - crowd 3,212
Metrostars 3-3 Bentleigh (Vic.) (AET - Bentleigh won 4-3 on pens) - crowd 958
Floreat Athena (WA) 1-2 Melbourne City - crowd 1,408

Metrostars thrice managed to level the scores after being down by a goal to send the game to pens despite having Stefan Simic sent off for accruing two yellow cards around the hour mark. They equalized for 2-2 in the 96th minute, then equalized for 3-3 in extra time, Travis. Dodd taking advantage of questionable keeping. Unfortunately despite going one up in the shootout they couldn't get the job done and missed two pens pretty badly.

Green Gully became just the second non-A-League side to defeat an A-League team in the FFA Cup after Adelaide City beat Wanderers two years ago.

Galekovic looks a train wreck tonight with some of his movements and that last goal......Jesus Christ!

My thoughts looking at him tonight is that he's cooked. He looks slow, very slow.

Fully deserved that result, club really needs to get their skates on and bring in some players or the season will be a disaster

Still think sides don't treat the FFA Cup with much respect especially the early rounds which is a pity.
I think what's more concerning for United was only having 13 players to choose from. Need some signings ASAP

Champions League and the title is more of the focus than the FFA, imagine being in all three comps at once

Agreed, it's a shame.

Putrid performance by United even considering the outs they've have since the Grand Final.
