Who? Is he any good?

Would be a magical signing for Liverpool purely for comedy value.

He'll clash with everyone - Fergie, Mancini, Wenger, The FA, Liverpool Owners, Every player and most of all, the media.

He'll be a walking circus! PLEASE sign him up

Without question, he's a proven winner.

So is Mario Balotelli.

And therein lies my excitement.

A gun manager who will do well, get loads of limelight and use that attention to be an absolute douchebag for our entertainment!!!

Sounds perfect, because if I have to keep watching Henderson then I'll need some comic relief

I might have felt a sharp pain if that comment came from someone who supported a decent team, see you in Europa ;)

Understand all clubs always go on about the importance of titles, but IMHO in our position the first step toward rebuilding our club (and make no mistake thats exactly what weve been forced to do since H&G dismantled it) has to be to return to Europe .. I dont expect that to happen next season, but it HAS to be our first step toward it.

To be honest I couldnt give a rats about anything other than the EPL and CL trophies .. No doubt if we find ourselves in the latter stages of the FA Or Europa then its worth trying to win, but happy to risk early elimination with undermanned sides if it means our EPL campaign benefits for it.

We MUST start arresting the slide that is seeing us slip further away from 4th place each season in the last 2 years.

Its a bad time to be falling so far from the pace with the heavyweight dollars (that we dont possess) being at an alltime high .. Might well be something the club never recovers from, and will only ever be among the battlers .. Hopefully not, but a definite possibility.

Dirk Kuyt leaves Liverpool for Fenerbahce

Was probably never the superstar we were sold on when he first signed ..but to be fair, over a decent period he was an extremely "honest" player, who had had moments in big games.

Will always be welcomed back to Anfield as a favourite.

Sad/scary thing is, that if we want to improve then his departure is probably right, but there's about half dozen blokes still presently there that I'd trust less to have as much of a crack as Dirk does/did.

Anyway, best of luck to the native of Bobbi Eden land.

I always liked Dirk actually, had a knack for popping up and socring crucial goals, i thought Kuyt's best football was seen when he worked with Torres there! After Torres left Kuyt didnt do as much...

if they lose this weekend, it will be 2 points from 5 games

poor return for a new manager, will be interesting to see if the manager lasts much longer if they dont get the rsult they want on sunday

Not sure how much they can blame the Manager for the start ... The squad is substandard, and the owners/Ayre let him down on that front.

Similarly, given how much the owners have looked to reduce costs to get close to having a return on their investment, I'm not sure they would be wanting to pay out a contract (on top of having already paid out Dalglish's contract) and replace him.

I'm not hitting panic stations yet, as soon as the Transfer window was shut I knew we'd finish well off the pace, and I'm not concerned (yet) that we'll find ourself in relegation territory.

I can live with a season of being down if it's part of a rebuilding process that might lead to genuine improvement down the track .. But I don't think we'll know that until the following season.
