Don't rate him. He's been at two clubs that could have coached themselves. I saw an article saying that his next club he goes to he wants them to sign a bunch of the worlds best players. Names like Pogba, messi, Neymar etc were thrown around. Give yourself a challenge Pep you dud.

Have to say I agree. I used to like him but now he just picks the soft option each time. I could of taken Barca or Bayern to titles and with an open chequebook could do the same at Shiteh

Im not so sure .. Whilst he and Ferguson are different people with different personalities, a big club like Man U needs a manager that the media hang off. Bigger problem would be a in few years time as Jim said, as JM's team's invariably fall away historically.

Wonder who'll coach at Plastic Bridge next season?

How's Citys form though. Poor pellegrini coaching the year out knowing he's sacked

It's something pretty foreign in England but that sort of thing has been going on for years in Europe. Guardiola signed for Munich about 12 months before he took over and Ancelotti was named as Pep's replacement several months back. Been numerous others in the French and Spanish leagues also

If you could literally pick where you wanted to work why wouldn't you pick the job that gives you the best rewards, both monetary and team potential.

Because the truly great managers like to test themselves and not have it handed to them on a platter whilst being a yes man for squillionaires. It's the reason many more people rate Klopp and the like far higher than Pep.

And how good has Mark Hughes been at Stoke over the last couple? Revolutionized the game style and made it attractive to some top end talent!

Deadline day aigning of Gianelli Imbula from Porto forca club record £18.3m. Maybe a bit overs price wise but is a big, strong, quick lad. Plays at DM and is 23 so plenty of future ahead of him. Will slot in next to Glen Whelan nicely i think...

I was gonna ask if you guys had won the lottery NG - Shaquiri and now Imbula, you guys seem to be spending more than I've ever associated with Stoke .. Quality players too!

I think i saw on bleacher report we had the highest value single player for the window and it put us third in the EPL of net spend behind Newcastle and Watford...

Hughes has the backing of the board and why not! Loving his work, now the real test will be if we can push on for Europe... plenty of potential and a good foundation laid in the last couple years...
