Championship Discussion: Season 2012-13

Postby McAlmanac » Wed Aug 15, 2012 10:15 pm

Here's the thread to talk about everything Championship - "the hardest league to get out of".

Can Wolves bounce straight back to the Premier League?
Is Gianfranco Zola the man to make a difference at Watford?
Can Gus Poyet take Brighton to a new level?
Can Cardiff butter up for another tilt at promotion with new front man Heidar Helguson?
Will the "Kean out, Venky's out" campaign succeed at Blackburn?
Can Neil Warnock keep El Hadji Diouf under control at Leeds?
Will anyone ever like Millwall and will they ever care?

For what it's worth, I'll nominate Bolton Wanderers for the title - a manager who has won promotion to the Premier League before and a couple of canny additions to an already decent squad.

No Championship on Fox this season so I have had to pay extra to get Sentanta which in addtion to the championship has the Scottish Premiership as well as League Cup rounds and a heap of other World Football matches.

Derby signed some nuff nuff forward from Wigan overnight.

We drew on the weekend, conceding a goal in the last 2 minutes

I dont mind Setanta having it. There really should be a use it or lose it type rule. If fox sports arent going to show alot of it im glad Setanta are showing 3 live games a week.

Just when I thought my night couldn't get any worse Cardiff blow a 2-0 half time lead and lose 3-2 at Palace. Murray with a second half hattrick.

Birmingham got pumped 5-0 at home to Barnsley after it was 0-0 at the half. Craig Davies scored 4!

Leicester keeping it's 100 percent home record intact with a good win overnight over Hull (3-1). Nugent back in form with his hat trick - 4 goals in 2 games. Hull Manager Steve Bruce banished to the stand after abusing the ref's, then a delay as he couldn't find a seat and to top off a bad day for Hull, Bruce apologised to all the Sunderland supporters for his outburst! Oops that was your old team!

Didn't they say they would take Blackburn to Europe?

Right move to get rid of him now, allows Blackburn to find someone who will take them back up. Even though they are 3rd they have been a bit lucky and have conceded 11 goals already.

Word has it they didn't even know promotion and relegation happened before they bought the club.

People can say what they want about roman and chelsea but at least roman knows things about football and invested in the correct areas of the club.....may of sacked to many managers but got what he wanted.
