Yep, Millwall was the most recent of that bunch to play top flight football, reckon they went down in 88 or 89?
Brighton played a couple of years top flight in the early 80's.
Rotherham and Bournemouth have never been in the top flight to the best of my knowledge.
Brentford had a stint around WW1, and Huddersfield were a powerhouse in the early days, won 3 league titles in a row but not sure when their last top flight season was

I might be biased, but I reckon Derby can once again be one of the front runners. Last season's playoff heartache may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Ipswich have been steadily building under Mick McCarthy and have made some nice low key signings - it wouldn't surprise to see them challenge. Middlesbrough have made some interesting signings and could be a dark horse, while it will also be interesting to see if Bournemouth continue their excellent progress under Eddie Howe.

Of the relegated sides, Norwich may struggle without main man Robert Snodgrass, Fulham seem to have had too much of a clean out to succeed as have Cardiff, although the Bluebirds do have a few quality ins. History shows, though, that one team usually bounces straight back.

At the wrong end of the table, Rotherham is an obvious candidate for relegation. Millwall, Birmingham, Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday don't appear to have much quality and Charlton's status as a feeder club for the Belgian owner's network of European clubs should also ring alarm bells.

Self praise is no recommendation, but how well are my promotion candidate predictions going at the minute? :)

Great to see Bournemouth odds on to be promoted to the Prem next season.

It's been a long time if ever since they were in the top flight.

Never been in top flight, reckon Arry had them close to being promoted once or twice in the late 80's but they have spent most of their time in the third and fourth tier

As a Leeds fan, I remember that game in 1990 when they were the only hurdle in our attempt to win the old Second Division title to gain promotion back to the old First Division and some of our travelling fans made an absolute idiot of themselves and it led to Bank Holiday matches down in Bournemouth being scrapped.

Bournemouth win the league in a dramatic last day. Watford were less than a minute from being crowned champions until Wednesday levelled it in injury time.
Derby bombed out on the last day allowing Brentford to grab the last playoff spot.
Playoffs :
Norwich v Ipswich
Middlesbrough v Brentford

Imagine if Brentford went up, they were only playing league one 2 seasons ago, another London Derby could be on the cards

Would think the EPL bosses are hoping Brentford dont make it. With Watford only holding 20k and Bournemouth just over 10k the last thing they would want is another tiny ground in the EPL

Watched full game live - good win considering they missed 3 easy goals. Burnley look like a sure bet to go straight back to PL.

Our form has been crap but we keep on picking up wins and if we ca do that whilst not playing well then we are in for a shout at the playoffs at least.
