After reading a report of the match I'd say they were pretty short on excuses too.

Yeah agree you would generally expect a Man U 2nd even 3rd string side to be at least competitive with a league one side

Fully understand that. The positives for me is that Liverpool and Arsenal are also winning jack shit at the moment ensuring we stay at the top of the tree for a few more years atleast

Lol anyone read about the Man U supporting chick that used a £2.50 free bet to back Man U to win 4-0 but accidentally put it on MK 4-0 for a collect of £1,250

Suprised to see Bradford City quoted as favourites to win - $2.45 v $2.75 - even though they're at Home. I think Leeds have them covered for quality and oddly City tend to play better away from Valley Parade.

I was going to say Burnley has more chance of catching Utd than Arsenal does but I know you'll just fire up, so instead I'd say with how the financial position of clubs can change so quickly and titles can be bought city and Chelski might not rule the roost for long. A rich Arab backer buys Arsenal and hey presto.

I'm not. Leeds are a basket case

Personally I think clubs who play their reserves or a weakened team in these comps just show a lack of respect for their opposition and the contest itself. I always applaud the lower league clubs who knock out higher league opponents.

Burnley played their 2nd string against Sheffield and were deservedly beaten.
I'm not even sure what Dyche was thinking about by playing mostly fringe players. We are two weeks into the season, 0 and 2 with our only goal coming from a midfielder. Surely you'd want to give your main strikers a go at getting some goals and your 1st team another game to bond.

It also shows the lack of depth we have.
