Announcing the deaths of local footballers on this site..
Posted: Tue Jun 08, 2010 10:06 pmWhilst the moderators see this site as an appropriate place to express sympathies when a member of our local football community has passed away, the protocol of this site is to take a cautious/empathetic approach.
Please wait at least 3 or 4 days after the person has passed away, or alternatively after its been announced in the media eg. a death notice in a local newspaper or the Advertiser, or on television news services.
Friends and family of the deceased person should not be reading about the death on here before they've had the chance to hear about it through formal channels (eg. police/close family).
If in any doubt, please PM one of the administrators or moderators of this site.
