What was Magny-Cours like MK? I've heard its way out in the middle of nowhere, hard to get to and has terrible facilities. Where were you sitting? What year?

It was 2002 and we drove over from London. It's definitely in the middle of nowhere. We sat at the Adelaide Hairpin, named after our (once upon a time) circuit. Very difficult to get accommodation and we ended up being a two hour drive away (our fault). The Tour de France was also on so it was a busy time in the country. A lovely part of France however and we enjoyed ourselves.

Thinking of booking a Golfing trip to Thailand sometime this year, play some top Thai courses that host Pro Tour Events and pay peanuts compared to similar ranked Aussie layouts

Monaco F1 track is awesome, our contiki tour went through there 2 days before the GP, a few of us hired scooters and did a few hot laps.

Yeah we went up to the casino and i lost a fair few euros early on but ended uo infront with a few good hands of blackjack.
Were there many high rollers there? As ive said before we were there just before GP and I reckon i stood out the front of the casino for hours watching the valets move the sportscars and seeing the hot women. Never seen so many lamborghinis or bugattis in one carpark

Not quite as impresive as Sam  , but I jumped the fence and ran out on to Carisbrook Park in Dunedin (no game on at the time), but you can visualise why it is known as the House of Pain..and not just for opposition teams. It couldnt be mistaken for a modern hi-tech facility, as it is complete with wooden seats and stands that look like they would let in plenty of breeze straight from Antractica. All said though, really wish there had been a game on while I was there to have experienced it

No sport viewing overseas for me (although did go to Europe in '03 on a Contiki).

My favourite sporting event of all time is probably the Davis Cup grand final between Australia and Sweden in 1986/87 (late Dec/early Jan), played at Kooyong, Melbourne. Australia won 3-2, the tie between Cash and Pernfors was awesome.
