Perth

I'm heading to Perth for 5 days in about 3 weeks time and just wandering if anyone has been there and if you have what is good to have a look at. Primarily going to catch up with one of the Mrs. friends but we will still have about 2 maybe 3 days to fill in. Going over on a Thursday morning and coming back Tuesday. The only thing we have booked in is a wine tour on Sunday that includes a cruise, drinks and lunch (assuming along the swan river).

Apart from that I'm open to all ideas of things to do or even places to stay (ie. city or Fremantle). Probably stay with the friend over the weekend.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

just got back from a 9 day boys trip to perth. went on the captain cook swan valley wine cruise and ended up very happy indeed. the wine isn't of great quality but they keep feeding it to you all day. apart from that spent most nights in northbridge and also recommend checking out little creatures brewery in freo.

spend a day on Rottnest Island MC

Hire a bike and ride around it.
Plenty to see and do, food and drinks as per the above link.

To get there:
Ferry departs from the swan river

Hillarys Boat Harbour isnt bad last time i was there. Plenty of shops and food outlets. You can also catch the fast ferry to Rottnest there as well. Also there is the Aquarium of Western Australia.
