Hey guys,

The missus wants to go to Mildura in late August-early September, and I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas as to what do there?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Wineries (Trentham Estate on the NSW side is a ripper), go-karts, woodsies gem shop, lunch at Gol Gol Hotel, Stefano de Pieri's restaurant, brewery, wave pool, paddle steamer trips, local footy.

We go there every easter and have a great time.

Yep, plenty to do there. My brother lives there and we go once or twice a year.

Get the Mrs to drive the day you go to the Mildura Brewery and ask for a pint of Mallee Bull. Then have another one.

Some nice spots on the Mildura side of the river if you looking to camp* out at any stage.

Lunch at Gol Gol....beautiful. Dinner at the bowls club on a Thursday, might even get to have a "roll up".
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Cheaper houseboat rental in Mildura compared to towns on the lower reaches of the Murray.

Cheers heaps guys!

It looks like I'll be in for an awesome time. From there, it looks like we'll be heading to Ararat for a night for a ghost tour of the local asylum, then maybe a night or two at Halls Gap before heading home.

J-Ward is freaky - and to think it was still used as a jail up until about 20 years ago. Well worth the trip though - and take a camera!

If it's just the two of you and you want something a bit romantic and flash - try staying here in the Grampians:

Oh wow, they both look stunning!

FC, we're both pretty keen on the J-Ward thing, as my wife is into the paranormal stuff, and I think it looks awesome too.

With work the way it is at the moment, I can't get there soon enough!
