Bump!

Have an end of year trip to Queenstown from Monday week. We’re at Hotel St Moritz for 9 days and can’t wait to head over with the family and great mates. In short, what are the best 10 things to do in Queenstown (plus surrounds)? We also have most days free and some great dinners planned.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Milford Sound is a must IMO.
Plenty of options to get there including self drive and bus trips but if you have the money I thoroughly recommend flying both ways.
It’s a long and slow drive down there and flying isn’t as badly priced as you would think. Get to see some absolutely stunning scenery leaving from Queenstown airport and flying over the Southern alps and land near the cruise terminal. Wonderful couple of hours sailing the Milford sound with a decent enough dinner package and then fly back in the arvo. One of the best experiences we have done.
Plenty of wineries around the region and I do recommend a hire car as there is plenty to do in the area such as visiting Arrowtown which is a preserved old mining village and even driving up to Wanaka or Tekapo for the day or simply driving up the Coronet Peak for stunning views. For the adrenaline side of things you have Bungee, Shot over boat etc nearby. Highly recommend the Queenstown Gondola up to the restaurant which does a great buffet and the best views of the Lake and town.
The Earnslaw steamboat ride across the Lake is pretty cool too if you have the time.
