To be honest, I haven't weighed myself for a month (the missus is pregnant and it makes her feel bad) but it was around 101 - 104 fluctuating. It all depends on how many beers I've had that night :)

Thank goodness Another Burg + Meatpie in the 80s are on this list

As for a charity how about these 2
Cancer Care at Unley which needs $$$$ and do a great job.
Or the Mcdermott Mcguiness foundation for the little fellas.
We could donate $2 a kilogram.
THOSE WHO PUT ON WEIGHT SHOULD DONATE $4 A KILO :(

I will regularly edit this and add on fellow campaigners.

Not a bad days work, now we all need to at least lose or maintain weight loss impetus.

MALSMAXIM number one.

Have a healthy balanced diet, but dont diet.

I weigh 79kg and since Mal had a go at me for having a double chin in the Gambling Room  , I'm going to join the challenge as well, with the goal of being under 75kg by Christmas. It shouldn't be too difficult to achieve, providing that I can find some form at cricket and spend time in the middle. Will also try to run more laps at cricket training and cut back on the junk food a bit.

Are we going to have a weekly weigh in?? I suggest every friday we have to post our current weight to track improvements...

Currently 85, aiming for 78.

Charity option is a winner for me - happy with $2 per kilo lost.

Weekly weigh ins sound good too. Can the thread be renamed SAFOOTY BIGGEST LOSER?

Great idea Tassie each friday the CORRECT WEIGHT weigh in.
I also like the suggestion of donation $$$$ per kilo lost to the
mcguiness/mcdermott foundation.
If everybody is in accordance i will let the foundation know
about it.
$2 per kilo is a fair donation.
If I dont get below 100k before 24/12/06 1 will go to the
extraordinary measure of banning myself of the site until 2007
Also if I dont get below 100k I will donate $1 per kilo that I weigh
which equates to a $100 +

If anyone out there has some great weight loss techniques it
be much appreciated if you shared it with us.

Lunchcutter, you are invited as well. :D

Punk could be a dual winner.

Smac I have christianed the event to SA BIGGEST LOSER STAKE, great suggestion.
We both need to keep away from BUTCHERS

we should try and work out how much total weight wants to be lost, so we have some idea of how much money can be raised.

Good onya lads (and FC) for having a crack at this ... I was thinking of charities yesterday and came up with the MM Foundation and the Julian Burton one, so am more than happy to donate to MM as has been suggested!

Wish you all the best of luck and will continue to contribute any tips I receive from successful losers :D

thanks Mal

why thanks for the invite Mal, but methinks I would definitely be the toppy in this race not to mention that I am waaaay to embarrassed and ashamed to disclose my real current weight - maybe I'll run my own personal challenge which I will do individually and still donate at end of the year. ok Ill put this out there - if lunchey could get to around the mark that most of you fellas are currently at - there would be one happy lunchey around... no promises but will see how I go - thanks again Mal for inluding me - will be reading with interest how this goes... very good initiative - :-&
