Sounds a bit too low in the back to be kidney related.

LOL - You didn't want to Google it, so thought the resident medico's on SA Footy might be a better starting point. :D

I'd try a doctor. ;)

Yeah, well I figured at least no one would suggest that I had a life-threatening illness. Google always brings up the absolute worst-case scenarios. :) Going to the doctor tomorrow.

That's what I thought, but my mate freaked me out with her talk of shrivelled kidneys. I will kick her next time I see her.

Not related to the book you been reading?

Book? Only one I can think of that might have the potential to cause injury is the Kama Sutra. I did once manage to sprain my neck royally as a direct consequence of that book.

Ya beat me to it dedja.

Seriously though, I believe they operate between 7am and 7pm weekdays and only buses, taxis, bicycles and emergency vehicles can use them.

OK, as I thought. Then can someone explain to me.

How are you meant to turn tight onto North Terrace / Botanic Terrace from East Terrace.

you probably need to drive there to see what I mean, but the way I see it, they have f***ed up.

you can drive in them for up to 100 metres to avoid an obstruction, go around a car turning right, or if you are about to turn yourself. in the case of the one on east terrace, cross through it to the right turn lane on the other side. you wont get booked unless you are driving for a fair distance in it.

to me it is retarded having them on east terrrace anyway, it is very difficult trying to thread through the busses to get to the other lane, and the busses i have seen arent too keen on letting cars through. i have seen cars get stuck having to go left.

That's what I was thinking. I just went in the right hand land (bus lane) at the traffic lights on the road before North Terrace, I wasn't the only car doing it.

while i dont disagree with what you did, just be careful. in the first couple of weeks that the bus lanes were in operation i saw coppers stationed at that set of lights and they were chatting to cars that did that. it was just a friendly warning (i believe there is a grace period) but sooner or later they will start fining people.

It's stupid. So you have to be in the left lane and wait for the buses to pass. This is going to cause delays for people who want to turn left onto North Terrace. This quick fix isn't going to work.
