Poleconomy was one of my favourites - players can form parties and win power and nominate a Prime Minister in the group in charge.
If you get enough points to become Prime Minister you then get to decide economic policy.
You can try out various economic styles and see what happens.

Just like a more complex form of Monopoly actually. Using strategy to accumulate all the "money" in the game is fun! [as well as practice for real life.. ]
I play killer Scrabble too.

Man Bites Dog?

My sister outlaw gave me that for Christmas one year.

To date, she and Mrs. Pseudo are the only people I've played the game with. I won, natch.

I used to have a game called Diplomacy.
It was set in one of the World Wars and the basic idea was to get as many cities as possible.
Great strategy game.
Key to winning: Never go the Germans. Fighting a war on two fronts never works.

We used to play a game called Snap Shot

It's like snap, except you both have a gun.

You play the game of snap as normal, until one of you goes snap, then the loser shoots the winner in the hand.

It teaches the lesson that no matter how fast you are, you'll never be faster than a gun.
