See I tend to think all of these crowd counts are akin to the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns. That is, the product of vivid fantasy and imagination.

There will be someone, can be certain of it.

Corona Man living in the epicentre of it all would've been the short priced favourite, he's navigated his way through it all well so I reckon we're home free.

It just astounds me how Victoria can just do a complete backflip and go rogue while we are still masking up while in a pub when we haven't even been close to recording any cases, surely the health advice doesn't differ that much between states.

Yep dodged more than a few bullets. One of the older boys at the cricket club got/had it. He certainly knew he was crook, and he said it felt like a fairly heavy flu/cold. Know of plenty who have had it. A few in the factory at work.

Know plenty who have been in tier one sites, but not contracted Covid as well. I think the masks, distancing, hand cleaning all work.

Polling. Nothing to motivate a politician like a poll

I so reckon it would be been above 100k, possible even 150 - 200k maybe.

The bill currently in Vic parliament was always going to drive alot of people out for this. Forget the right wing conspiracies for a sec here, the issue is this Bill from Andrews and it is pretty shit. I mean it's terrible and should be shot down. However this was the major driver for the turn out.

Video looks impressive but not 100k impressive.
Video goes for under 8 minutes, less than 480 seconds. Round it up to 500 seconds for the sake of the argument and easier calculations.
For there to be 100k in that clip, the camera needs to pass 200 people per second for the duration. It doesn't.

So tomorrow is Open Day

We spent 20 months keeping it out to open the borders to let Victorians in where there are still 1200 cases a day still.

Still wear masks (understand the reasoning)
Only sitting consumption
No dancing

I’m a little confused.

I fail to. With all of the restrictions in place for those coming in we should be fine, overkill IMO.

The masks are not being enforced in a lot of situations now I'm finding

I was looking at some stats Saturday, they are still issuing fines and cautions for failing to comply with wearing a mask.

My 70yo mum who is unvaxxed rung me upset to say her doctor's clinic has now banned her from coming inside for appointments phone consults only and Benson Radiology have also banned unvaxxed people from entering. That's pretty extreme.

I read in Melbourne even Big W and K-Mart are banning unvaxxed from entering their stores, that's madness. If they're doing that there it will likely to spread to here soon enough too.

My doctor said that he was contemplating banning the unvaxxed from coming in (exceptions obviously for those who are unable to be vaccinated) on the grounds that, as a business owner, he was concerned about the liability risk of someone with COVID-19 spreading it to elderly patients, staff etc.

I think this is a calculation many organisations are currently making. I doubt that my employer would go to that length - am thinking they might be looking at making masks mandatory for the unvaxxed etc.

That's a poor opinion for a doctor to make in 21st century Australia, putting money before health. There is no risk of spreading Covid to anyone as it doesn't matter if you're vaxxed or not.

That's one thing but blatant banning is nothing but pure discrimination and should be against the law in this day and age.

My mum is pretty upset about this you know what oldies are like the local doctor's surgery becomes like a second home to them and to be fine to enter (masked etc) one day and then banned from stepping foot on the premises the next day is not an Australia I want to be a part of. No essential health service should be allowed to pull stuff like this.
