Either concrete sleeper or poured concrete retaining walls are required.

We are just trying to get a ball park figure for this and are trying to figure out if it would be closer to $15K or $50K

You'd be looking at $363m2 inc for your regular Joe type concrete sleepers (no patterns) & I beams (coated). Total for your job would be around the 12.5k mark.
Includes backfilling with original soil & no soil taken away.

All depending on
Type of soil to be cored (eg, rockbreaker $120ph)
Access, get a dingo with an auger in there.
How much site prep is needed to level the existing soil.
Suburb (Travel time).

G'luck

Correct, most companies will charge a small fee for a 1 way rental.

and just to add to that, it also depends on the state. A lot of companies wont allow one way rentals into the NT or WA.

Also, some companies won't charge one way rental between Adelaide and Melbourne during certain times of the year too.

To get braces or not to get braces.

Had a dentist appointment today and all is good, just the positioning...

$5-6K and 2 years of wearing them was the info the dentisy have. I'd have to have a proper consult with an orthodontist to get exacts. Almost 27 now so be all clear by 30...

I'm thinking result would be good but is it worth the money? Has anyone else got then as an adult and what was your experience like?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Getting all your teeth ripped out and getting fake ones would be cheaper.

Depending on the opinion of both the Dentist and Orthodontist. I didn't have them as most of my teeth (except one) straightened themselves up on their own accord. The one that is out of whack the olds are on my back about getting it removed but I'm resisting as I don't see the point.

On the other hand my sister had them and just for me it was a head f**K complained non stop for about 2 months when they were first fitted then it was endless appointments with either the dentist/orthodontist. I think I stopped going when I had read all the magazines in the waiting room

Some blokes will let you rent the car for free, so long as you take a bit of "luggage" along with you...

Waste of money.

I had 'em as a late teen. After 3 years they came off, teeth were straight, but I was told I'd have to wear a plate indefinitely. Gave that up after a short while, and sure enough the teeth went all crooked again.

Would be cheaper to buy a few Port Power t-shirts and wear them. Then nobody would expect you to have perfect teeth

this might be some help, but we got one built on one side of our block about 9 years ago, 22m long, and steps up in height from 1.5m to 3.8m and this one cost 26K

and one on the other side of our block, 15m long and 1m high which was about 8K

everytime I look out the sliding door to the big retaining wall, I picture what could have been a new car  but we seriously need the wall

Thanks for that, we too need a new car, though stopping the new house sliding down the hill will probably get looked at first...
