Day 3 of isolation.

Cant really get a straight answer out of SA Health about what we are meant to be doing, any SAFooty experts no the correct answer.

Our situation is...…

-Mate went to a gym on Thursday last week as he regulary does
-He,his partner and his brother came over on Friday night for drinks/shared platters etc.
-Sunday finds out the gym had a positive case so goes and gets tested, at this point no symptoms.
-Tuesday gets test results back to find out they are all now positive and that this point has symptons
-Tuesday informs us of all this as we are now a close contact
-We get tested Tuesday afternoon......still waiting on results.

-One SA Health person has told us that last Friday was day 1 and we had the test on Tuesday so we now can have the day 6 test which is today and if that result comes back negative we are fine to leave. We had to wait 48 hours between after our Tuesday test though before we were allowed to have another one.
-The other person who spoke to me said Tuesday will be classed as our day 1 test and that we need to wait until day 6 (Sunday) have another test and then when them results come back negative we are free.

It just seems no one can agree on what day we are up to and me and the partner are just trying to do the right thing.

Yes, I think so. Would significantly reduce waiting times at PCR testing stations for people who have been exposed to a positive case or have been directed to get tested. Would give people with mild symptoms access to peace of mind, would give venues the ability to test people before entering for events, it's the way we'll move forward.

Oh you've changed your tune, didn't want to know about it when I said the same thing about 3 or 4 months ago. I guess now the government has said T's ok you can get behind it.

Correct, I listen to the experts not f*ckwits on the web.

Day zero would have been Friday.
Normally need tests days 1, 6 and 13 and isolation finishes after day 7 or after day 6 negative test is received, whichever is the latter.

PS Everything could change again later today.

I went to the repat at Daws road to get tested 2 weeks ago.
They asked me if I’d been tested before, which I said yes I’ve was tested here.
After looking up my records and checking my details 3 times with me she said nope you haven’t been tested before.
I said, I can assure you I have.
She said oh well don’t worry about it.
They either don’t keep your records for very long or they have NFI
