I just dont get the love for Bali, I've tried twice now and i just 'dont get it', i have the same feeling towards ABBA and the Rolling Stones as well.

:D

Don't get me wrong i find it 'ok' over there but just dont get people i know who always do an annual Bali holiday going to the same hotel, places etc.

The worlds such a big place and Bali for mine is average at best. So many more better places, i would rather skip the annual Bali holiday and go on a holiday every second year but too much nicer places.

I can appreciate the Rolling Stones are talented but i just dont find their music any different to millions of other bands out there. Nothing ground breaking for mine.

Don't get me started on Abba WTF!!! The only thing going for them is two hot swedish chicks but it's a package deal, it comes with two swedish blokes and songs like mumma mia.

Bali, closer than Thailand, cheaper than Queensland.

Bali is cheap so you get what you pay for.
Cheaper than going on holidays in Australia is the appeal I guess.

I don’t mind Bali but if the prices increased dramatically I wouldn’t be rushing back.

This is my second time to Bali after twice to Thailand. This time in Bali we're doing some island hopping and seeing some places we didn't see last time.

The biggest difference is the accommodation costs. I found we were still dropping $70-80 on a nights meal for the 3 of us ( Miss Boon not coming this time ) but the cost of 4 or 5 nights accommodation isn't even close to what you'd pay in Port Douglas or Hervey Bay.

I think this will be my last Bali trip, we're going for a mates 50th that was in August and his Mrs' 50th that is in January. There's 12 of us together for 4 days, then 6 of us split off, 4 of us remain for a few days, then 10 back together etc across 10 nights.
