having our electricity disconnected today for non payment...

thing is we hadnt received any bills or notifications or overdue notices at all...

now not sure if it's gonna be reconnected today or not! what a joke!!!

As a stand alone simple sentence, no. For it to be correct, you'd need to use a complex or compound sentence where that part wasn't the main part of the clause.

What DW means is writing "His changing clubs" instead of "He's changing clubs"
