Clients already bitch and complain that we take too long to get building now. Imagine if we start throwing ideas out there for future works that are not in our contracts. The paperwork back log will be 3 years before we can get a slab on the ground and 15k more expensive

Would help you as well, would force the foundation pourers to use decent 150mm boards so you don't have to get angst from the client when their contractors put on a whopping charge to jackhammer the foundation to get their 75 below damp course no?

I've got no idea what he's on about but I agree ;)

The Sheik will be assisting with my landscaping, hence his concerns 8)

Talking about these small blocks with no access, its not 15k to excavate an extra 100mm back 3 metres, talking a flat block of course. Refer 1st query.
edit- & not referring to FC's block, just a general inquiry.

No I'm talking about every little thing that after the fact is a good idea in hindsight....

Just can't win, try to cover every little aspect yet people still think it should be done yesterday.

Take my word for it, I know, been in the game 36 years & I'm the last in after you guys are gone.
Some of the most minor of gripes clients have I hear about, from the colour of the screws holding the downpipes in to the wrong shade of grey in their mortar. There are some genuine nightmare stories (customer going on holidays & a cream block frontage when they wanted a slate finish when they got home 400k house as well ) I don't envy any builders or their supervisors.
By the time I quote, some customers have a budget of $29 & hold every person in the building trade a step below sheep rapists.

The hoon in his silver skyline flying up and down the road at ridiculous high speed. Other neighbors have thrown bottles at them and reported the hoon driving to cops.
Now everyone knows where the car belongs and everyone will be watching the house for any more activity

Yeah I'll take 5 extra minutes and hold up 10 cars but it will be worth it as I'll save 2 seconds of reversing when I leave.
Wankers. I suggest the death penalty for them.

People/clubs that hold back clearances on players for no reason.
This day and age, everything is a click of a button away, how hard is it just to get it done FFS!!

Probably trying to work out if they can pay him as much as you are?

*Only having a crack in lieu of recent media about player payments in amateur league. I know nothing of either clubs situation.

I am an old fella and I thought I would save some money doing a service on my 2nd car.

A VY 11 acclaim commodore.

So off I go to super cheap......

6L of oil, oil filter, better get some proper coolant.

Blimey....

got to get those heavy car ramps out.

and there will be oil running down up to my elbows down under my car.

and that hard to get to oil filter.

How did I like doing this stuff when I was a young lad...?

I could change a gear box in my old fm ford in under an hour, when I was under 20

The cheap days are long gone. Next time a mechanic....

The old bones and joints don't work like they used to...

People that take it upon themselves to control the work air conditioner.

In the morning, one guy is always hot, even if its freezing, so he cranks the A/C, and Im sitting here freezing my nuts off.

Then in the arvo, a lady rocks up thats cold when its 30 **** degrees, so she cranks the heater, even though its warmed up and comfortable outside.

Does my head in.

I argue until I'm blue in the face that the temperature does not change and must stay at a constant 24. I swear the women in my office are actually lizards and need to sit out in the sun to warm up

At home I'm still yet to turn the heater on this year and it is ******* June!

Right up my alley, this one. ;)

I'd guess that you chaps are in an office environment, yes?

The men are in shirt/tie and trousers, the women blouse/top skirt, yes?

I was a storeman/truck driver before being elevated to my current position, and i'd have to say being on the road, doing my own thing, having control of my own aircon and able to have my music at a "rock-out-able" level was much better than sharing an office with people that can't agree on a single thing.

Im currently in polo, trousers, and a hoody, coz its freezing. After lunch I'll be in the same, minus the hoody, and covered in sweat.

The lady im referring to comes in wearing trousers, 3 upper body layers usually including some mountaineering vest, and a scarf, and she's still "******* freezing"...
