When people abuse animals and kill them for fun then i despise this act

It is also "nature" for elephants, at least in Africa, to migrate vast distances, through what are now big cities and other countries.

I've signed up to study again as well... I'm "at" the University of New England as an external... 4 year degree over 8 years though hopefully with summer semesters it will be 6 years...

Text books for 2 subjects just cleaned out $300...

Ouch...

Haven't got to the text books yet.....hopefully none. At least I don't have exams for these 2 subjects!

Price of textbooks is ridiculous. Luckily I know a few people doing the same degree as me so I just get the books from them

RC, what is your masters in and Q what would you do for yours?

The novelty of studying again hasn't worn off, so I'm interested in all things study at the moment :)

Either

Masters in Plant Biotechnology

Or

Masters in Global Food and Agribusiness

Leaning towards the latter at this point.

Well if it wasn't for the nagging of my sister (a bloody teacher mind you) I probably would have procrastinated for another 12 months. The original plan was to complete my first one I started straight out of school. Now I'm completing 1 degree at UniSA (B. Built Environment) and starting another at Curtin University (B. Architectural Science) . I'm ******* nuts!

Poignant discussion.

Have spent the last two weekends researching Mechanical Engineering. Initially it was on the back of a discussion with friends, all of a sudden it has become quite real and a distinct possibility.

That's my field mate. With the manufacturing industry all but dead in Adelaide, the jobs for Mechanical Engineers in Adelaide are dwindling...I'm not sure that is a career choice I would look at if given the choice now.

It would be more about furthering my current career than changing fields or entering the mechanical engineering field as such.

See pm.

http://www.open.edu.au is your friend.

You have missed enrollment for the upcoming semester as it starts next week but you have until late May to make your mind up.

From what I can see there are no course requirements to apply (ATR, or STAT results)

However you must have completed 4 units with a GPA of 4.0 or better to be eligible for a HECS supported place. As you are just starting there are other payment options.

Oh ok. So say I did 4 units of anything, and paid for those myself, I would be eligible for HECS for that course?

Well I would do the 4 units (subjects) that count towards the degree via FEE-Help what ever the hell that is or pay cash (not sure that is viable as for me each subject is $1100). Then once that is done apply via HECS. The OUA online chat is really helpful and they can point you in the right direction. You have until May 20 to enroll for study period 2.
